I just wanted to write my feature request on this topic but found this one. I support and I think that some of the functionality is already there at least on the device side.

Meanwhile, I wonder if CK& Co are resistant to altering the special sauce in the profiling algorithm because it would result in an alteration of a decade worth of beloved profiles,
I think you could alert how recorder (profiler) part works (alerting resulted profile) without touching player part. Or eventually they can intorduce something like KPA profile version information in profile so you could always use proper algo for the right profile. So I think there are ways to change the profile algo without alerting the old profiles. Just my 2 cents.

This is octave number.

As in the subject. It would be a bit easier to work with the editor. Thanks.

I belive in theory you could generate some sweep or burst "refined tones" in optimal manner to cover some "most cases " area. But it still will be "most cases" thing.

I agree . This is one of the most practical applications of PEQ when playing live. A big plus and I'm in favor of this feature.

Hi, do you have the development available on Github?
What interests me would be a kind of Kemper automation or let's say MIDI Macro sequencer. You press a foot switch and a whole list of instructions is sent.
Most MIDI controllers are unfortunately not able to transmit a whole list of different CC, PC, NRPN or Sysex commands in the correct order.
With an IOT device (Arduino or ESP32) you could do something like that.
I did not publish it on github because the code is a big mess due to fast and intensive development
Automation of the messages is definitely possible . Personally, I was thinking more about a plugin that automate many parameters in a DAW. It would be based on exactly the same editor.

If you are in the studio you can surely record the problematic sounds and post it here. Otherwise it's hard to say
, because each of us perceives sound differently and describes it in different words.
-
Open it up? (please don’t!)
I think the only difference between older and „newer“ devices is the writing on the front. The old models have „profiling amplifier“ written on it, the newer ones just have „Profiler“. And I haven’t heard of a wifi module in them, but that doesn’t mean I’m right.
And DSP board is different. SPDIF slave mode is working on newer models.

I assume all activity on the ToastMe editor has now ceased?
I had to ask myself if further work on Toast ME, in case where the functions of loading presets or rigs stopped working(MIDI functions was changer or removed from MIDI implementation) , made sense. And I decided that going back in development, if there is an official editor, does not make sense to me . However, if you see any reason why I should continue, I'll be happy to hear it.
I think that some functions or ideas were useful or pointed a little way for the KPA team and if that was the case, then I am very happy.

Have you tried to set the parameter holding "ctrl" key ?
EDIT: Sorry , my mistake . It was shift key.

Kemper has stated (via FB comments) the toasters will connect via LAN cable to a router.
Perhaps on Toaster and Rack you have to connect it to yout WIFI router via LAN cable. Maybe remote can be used with Poe and have to be connected to the same router? Just guessing.
Ha!
What did I win?
-
The cat 5 connector would certainly suggest that the remote operates on a standard TCP/IP network protocol, but of course they could be using a proprietary protocol instead. If it is just regular TCP/IP then your idea sounds like a reasonable approach.
Does anyone know what protocol the rack / toaster uses to talk to the remote?
Well you can read remote IP adress in sys info page so I guess it is TCP/IP. Remote can operate via Poe + router.

Check DLY+REV R. parameter in RIG menu.

Mine arrived today. Sounding good so far. Need more time with it. Kemper certainly isnt going anywhere tho.
That's good . I thought you would steal my best KPA sounds from me : P
-
Sorry for that.
I will rewind and put my business hat on.
Truth is that no glassy sound is doable without the "True Impedance" feature. One need to update to a Profiler Stage for that.
Is there a simple way to simulate this kind of load with resistor connected to the guitar output (jus to check the resulting sound) or it is more complicated circuit(LRC)?

Great music !
The only thing that irritated me was the upper frequency range of the cymbals. Either some PEQ had too much cut band from the bottom or some high frequency range too strongly boosted.
It makes them sound somehow unnatural.
But all the rest is great.

In my opinion, it is not a well-done video. He did'n do profile refining(after Guido's video I think it is important step ) and set definition parameter without checking against AMP sound. I must admit that QC came out pretty close.
