Sorry, guys. I really shouldn't be polluting a feature request thread with my views on the subject. You have a feature request, it is up to Kemper to consider it. For ther record, I support the feature request, as I don't have to deal with the consequences anyway, haha I just wanted clarity on what was ACTUALLY said by kemper, not just how we - possibly wrongly - remember it. Peto and others who dug up links to actual statements by the company, thank you. That shows us what is really what
Again, I apologize for contributing to deraling the thread.
No problem - we are just talking here:) and every voice is very important:)

And would definitely make it more complex to allow midi control of it in a future FW release, sadly - to avoid claims of false advertising.
I think the support for other MIDI devices will not be complex - they only have to support two state of the switches - 0 and 1 on selected CC messages thats all. I understand that the lack of feedback about the looper state will be the problem but i think it easy to implement with another NRPN command( maybe it was implemented with NRPN looper commands also - for test purposes). In fact this is not Kemper Team problem how do you achieve this kind of MIDI functionality with you pedal board. They only have to document somewhere the specification of this MIDI NRPN's or CC's.

Good question. Since it is out of warranty and you have an idea of what you are doing, I'd maybe try to open it up and see how difficult it looks. But as Damian says, you need the correct led. Maybe Kemper would be willing to tell you what it is. But be aware that maybe the LED is only a symptom of something being amiss elsewhere (I seem to remember that the issue of LEDs dying came not from the LEDs themselves, but something else).
Wasn't there something about extended warranty on the LED issue? I would definitely contact Kemper about this first.
This!
They may be the other reasons why the leds dying(or just not flashing). Propably they are drived with DAC + some diodes and resistors+ transistors(or by dedicated IC). So there are more elements that could fail. -
It's just a Led's but you have to find similiar model - beacouse of light intensity and color. Some of the leds are multicolor leds.

Ha
They didn't know, that you are too clever, and you found it.Hidden looper;-)It was just idea based on judoromain post:
http://www.kemper-amps.com/for…ooping-problem-with-midi/So I'm thinking why they leave this NRPN commands in next FW's unblocked.
Maybe it was for test purposes only. Like Peto said - it's hard to implement such interactions in other Midi devices.
But Peto shows that it is possible to map this sequences of NRPN commands to CC commands. -
You have to send support ticket. You can also try to send MIDI with your Interface - but i think it's not the case. Maybe something wrong in your MIDI channel settings in KPA?

Hello!
I've upgraded firmware to the latest 3 version, rebooted the Kemper and MIDI Out connection with my FCB1010 UnO4Kemper Midi In connection is gone...
Is there a way to make a loop back test on the Kemper if the midi is working properly?
I did a Factory reset on my FCB1010, also reconfigured it again based on Uno4Kemper manual instructions, tried also to change Midi channel on Kemper (from Omni) and nothing seams to work...
Same issue also when I downgraded the Kaos back to 2.7.4....
Please, any advice is welcome!

You can use MIDI PC Interface and MIDI OX to test your FCB1010 . -
I see why you don't support other boards but I still don't get the reason why you're actively blocking user efforts to get it to work.I think noone would blame kemper if it doesn't work properly as it is not officially supported.
Exactly.
The MIDI manual say's:Quote
The Kemper Profiler features more than 400 parameters, so you can’t address them all with a standard
MIDI control message, which is limited to 128 parameters. However, the Kemper Profiler also supports the
NRPN (Non Registered Parameter Numbers) protocol, which allows the addressing of 16384 parameters,
with a resolution of 16384 values (14 bit).
For more detailed information regarding NRPN please consult the Kemper Profiler MIDI Parameter Documentation. -

I made MIDI converter from CCs to NRPNs. I tried to mimic Remote functions as much as possible by implementing simple state machine into script.
Only single press functions are working. I think this is good proof that it works with MIDI as a basic looper. It does these functions, all on CC#34, values 0-5:
RECORD / PLAY / OVERDUB
STOP / 3x to DELETE
UNDO / REDO
TRIGGER
REVERSE
1/2 TIMEI attached .html page, which everyone can open. You will need Jazz plugin. If you don't have it, the page will give you link to download it.
I am curious how many of you will try it. With Damian, we spent some time finding this out.
Great work Peto:) i will put the attachment to op. -

Yes you can copy this folder . Everything what you need is in backup folder.
-
You dont need rig manager right now.leave it. You have your backup on the usb and you can restore it from usb.
-
No-just copy andpaste buckup folder somewhere.leave the rig manager for tommorow:)
