But isn't a regular reamping setup done with the DI box converting the signal to instrument level into the amplifier?

Hey everyone,
How should I setup my Scarlett 2i4 when recording both a DI and wet track analog.
The Direct output (GIT Studio), should this be line or instrument input.
What about the wet track, line or instrument?
I believe it should be line for both?
Thanks,
Jeremy
I can definitely say that Jordan Popp's are my favourite although there isn't much variety.
Origin's pack is also VERY good and has more variety than JPP's.
^I tried a bunch of them haha
this is really strange
Display MoreHey Robert
this seems OK as IIRC I mainly used for my packs mix'n'match technique between my amp profiles and cab profiles to find the best result, then tweaking them to meet my expectations. These rigs were variations of the same root profile because they were mainly my live rigs.
For my RAW and REC rigs, I used a lot of different cab profiles but kept the same amp profile.
To Ezerath : I think the cab part is for something. Perhaps changing the cab settings may help about this issue ? It sounds like a particular frequency is emphasized at this part of your guitar. Set the cab parameters to zero if they are not and let me know if it changes something. Try also my RAW profiles and let me know. Interesting because you seem the only person to face this. Saving the private Ezerath !
Just tried putting the paramters to zero and tried a RAW profile and still does the same thing
Yes the JP-2C profile does the same thing. Very strange. The only one that I found that doesn't do it is "Boogie MarkIIC++ MAB"
Hi
very strange I don't have this problem. What is your gear ? Have you tried with another guitar ?
anyone else getting this problem ?
It's a Carvin DC700. It's not the guitar as there are no other profiles that do this. I tried messing with amplifier parameters, noise gate threshold, etc and still don't understand haha
I don't know why but on almost all of your profiles, certain notes (like 14th fret of the G string and a couple others) when doing vibrato makes the volume fluctuate. I've never had this problem on any other profiles. Any ideas?
Any new profiles in the works?
Reamped these guitars with the Uberschall pack
Hey everyone,
So here are the pedals:

No post processing except for a VERY mildd Low pass and high pass (same for all clips) on the guitars

Below is the blind audio test. Let me know which you like best and I'll post up which audio clip is which pedal later on.
*note* two of these clips are the Fulltone OCD V1 clone, 1 of them using the Low peak setting, the other with the High peak setting. The low peak setting doesn't have as much of a mid hump, is more transparent and has less gain.
Cheers.
Here's some more of his clone pedals:

I'd gladly pay you for more profiles. Do you have some more available that you'd be willing to sell?
Free: I'd have to pick one of Kosten's profiles. His profiles are amazing. Much better than 90% of commercial packs. I love his Dual Rec, i think it's called "Modern Rec"
Commercial: No doubt JPP's Uberschall VR2 pack.
Your profiles are amazingggg. Any chance of doing a full pack? Uberschall coming? hahah
Hey, I've tried multiple times on different days and yes I've waited till the file is completely done downloading.
Hey everyone,
Every-time I try to extract my rig manager download with WINZip or something, it gives me this error. I've re-downloaded the Rig Manager 3 times thinking maybe the download didn't work properly.
I have attached the error message. Any ideas?
I have been playing with the Kemper`s output sources and if I put the Direct Output to Master Mono, Master right, Mod Mono, Mod Right, or Stack, I get a signal at the Scarlett`s input however this signal sounds terrible and choppy and not high gain at all like the Rig I`m using....... So confused right now.
Hello everyone,
I've read the user manual, the wiKPA, along with this thread (and numerous others): http://www.kemper-amps.com/for…p-by-Step-Reamping-Guide/
I still can't seem to reamp.
Things to consider, I'm using a Scarlett 2i4 that doesn't have SPDIF therefore I need to reamp analog style.
My audio devices in Reaper are setup as follows:
[Blocked Image: http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/af47/jerm__/Guitar%20gear/20141125_132839.jpg]
I have my DI dry track setup as follows:
[Blocked Image: http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/af47/jerm__/Guitar%20gear/20141125_132409.jpg]
This is basically sending the track to the left output of the Scarlett (gold coiled instrument cable), correct?
Then this output from the scarlett goes to the Return Input on the back of the Kemper: (Gold coiled instrument cable)
[Blocked Image: http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/af47/jerm__/Guitar%20gear/20141125_133403.jpg]
[Blocked Image: http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/af47/jerm__/Guitar%20gear/20141125_133358.jpg]
Then on the input source of the kemper, you select Return input as follows:
[Blocked Image: http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/af47/jerm__/Guitar%20gear/20141125_132339.jpg]
Then theres a cable from the direct output/send on the back of the kemper to the front input on the scarlet
[Blocked Image: http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/af47/jerm__/Guitar%20gear/20141125_132300.jpg]
Kemper output setting are Direct output: Git Studio
[Blocked Image: http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/af47/jerm__/Guitar%20gear/20141125_132353.jpg]
What am I doing wrong?
When I play my DI track in Reaper, I don't get any signal level at the front of my Scarlett?
I'm sure there's someone here with the same setup?
Thanks!
Ezerath
Sad, I couldn't see the pictures. I think that ezerath should get in touch with the seller though and voice some concern. I would not want to buy a modded Kemper, because you have no idea what else might have been done to require that. Of course, if all is working well, breathe easy, but there could be some future date where this becomes a problem. I'd do this especially if you were unaware of this mod.
Could you try some of the features to brighten or dim LEDs to figure out whether those work>
To record a clean and dirty track simultaneously, go to the output and change the setting for your preferred recording channel (main/SPDIF) to guitar/stack so that you have clean on the left side and dirty on the right.
Thanks man, I could dim the RED collar LEDs, so it seems to have been done well.
I have figured out how to record both a wet and dry track in Reaper, now I'm trying to figure out how to reamp using the analog inputs/outputs because my Scarlett 2i4 doesn't have SPDIF inputs!
Alright then.
Just doing some research now on how to record both a DI track and a dirty/processed track at the same time with my Scarlett 2i4 and Reaper.
Also researching how to reamp haha
