Just got hold of these and gave them a blast with my LP. Really crisp ripping tones with nice balance - the lower gain pair were probably my preference but the crunch was excellent for that style and worked well with neck and bridge HB pickups. This amp could support a wider range of gain levels no doubt. Will look forward to your pack when it comes.

Thought I would give these another mention. I find them very useful for blues and rock tones. Bear in mind the mention of definition tweaks above in this thread if you want a bit more brightness but I find these great with single coils and HBs as they are.

Very nice, Nick. Great tone with the Luke III.

Excellent demos and a great set Nick. Clean and pushed clean sound great - love the pushed clean - and will be great for lots of styles. Mid to high gain are well labelled and sound superb with HB pickups.

I particularly like the Colonial, the Diaz 100 and the BOC.

Thanks for the freebies. Cornford I found quite good - I have the Rigbusters set and liked these in the same way. The Diezel channel 4 efforts were good and some of the cleans also but the mid gains were a little strange sounding to my ears. Some sounded a little like a mix of the DI sound and an amp sound.

What speakers/cabinets were used to profile the F-man?
The majority of the profiles use a Bogner 2x12 with V30s and the cleans are using a Buddy cab with a 70 watt 1x12 V30. There are plenty of merged profiles if you wish to use other cabs.

How many profiles per pack?

The Twin set is phenomenal. Great cleans - quite a range - and then an amazing range of driven tones with a great set of pedals. The range of very useable rock tones is impressive. Gigging musicians need look no further

Did you find the Eric Geurts profiles that were on Rig Exchange? Search for that author - paste it in - he has 77 profiles on RE and a bunch are DI profiles of a marshall major, straight and with some drive in front. Pair them with some good cabs from DS or others and you are golden. They are excellent IMO.

Good stuff on the SL5. An excellent range of cabs in the set. The direct profiles work well with my favorite cabs too.

It is useful to have a pad on the instrument input of your interface if you want to record direct into the interface.
You can take a DI signal from the output of the KPA if you direct the input signal (Git Analog) to the "direct output" jack on the back - this is setup in the Output section of the KPA. You can control the volume of that output if it is too hot - Monitor volume on the third page of the Output section.

Just on the AFD thing - obviously, a wah pedal is a filter circuit with variable frequency. An amp tone stack is several simple RC filters combined into a network. It is quite possible that a particular tone stack design and the set of capacitors/pots used to build it could give you a subtle mid range peak that sounds like a wah pedal setting.
If this bothers you, you could play around with the tone stack cap selection in the AFD and see if you get a better result. I was talking to ACY about his plexi style amp and he said he selected one particular critical cap from 12 he tried in that position. Bear in mind that all these sorts of amps are built to a price and the best components aren't necessarily the cheap ones used in mass produced amps built on PCBs.
Values in these sorts of parts can be amazingly critical - esp considering the tolerances that parts are built to in many amps. Eg I have tuned speaker crossovers by ear and found that for the low pass filter on the woofer, just one single turn of a hand wound coil either side of the correct value (subsequently tested with a meter) produced an obvious peak in the mid range (~2kHz) which was clearly undesirable.

Check out the Dr Z Maz 18 profiles - lots of great clean profiles for Jazz/country/funk/clean rhythm styles. I just spent some time comparing these from Diogo with my various pro Dr Z profiles and they really shine.

Dropbox saves the day - thanks again to Diogo for his stellar work on these profiles.

I thought perhaps someone could host these rigs if Diogo was agreeable.

Correct names in metadata - rig description - is standard on RE. Not out of the ordinary at all.

5150 profiles definitely rock - lots of great freebies from Mick during the last weeks so seems only fair to pony up for a couple of these sets out of the gate.
-
The clean profiles in this set are great - the Deville off axis set, the RK, Suhr and assorted Fenders are all going to very useful. The Deizel d-mol and some of the other higher gain amps are first rate also.

Thanks for this massive collection Diogo - much appreciated.
