Haven't seen anything on this - some discussion in Deutch in Babylon but no news in the main forum.

This latest is another excellent profile, Ivan. Works a treat with neck pickup or bridge, rhythm or lead. Great Santana style lead tones - very smooth.

I believe that Traynor came from a bass player friend of mine. He used it as his bass rig. Sounded pretty good with bass & awesome with guitar.OK - thanks for the info. Sounds like it might be a good amp to make some merged profiles with if it ever gets another look in.

Thanks, Mike. Your very generous Factory set (50 profiles!) is a great introduction to your collection.

Hi Mike,
I really liked the BOC profiles in your new Factory set so I grabbed the BOC pack from your site. I'm very pleased with the profiles. This is one of your packs I didn't have and it doesn't get a lot of coverage on this page but I think it deserves some more attention.
One thing - the 4 Trainor BM patches (Bass Master) - I liked them very much they didn't get a mention in the info sheet for BOC. Were they a late addition - what is the story on that amp?

Just on headphones, I use Sennheiser HD280 Pro and HD 380 Pros. These are fully enclosed and have plenty of bass, I use digital out of the KPA into RME interfaces and use the phones out from there. The sound I get from most pro packs - from clean to hi-gain with humbuckers and single coils is generally speaking, superb. The KPA has more than met my expectations.

Sounds good - very full tone, not too dry/scooped. More please
-
Are they the same profiles tweaked differently?
Yes - I would say so - you can go back and forth between the similarly named patches in the two folders and the Eq settings on the front panel of the KPA do not change but the brightness etc of the patch does. These have been dialed in for the respective pickup styles SC vs HB.
So for example, the third patch in each list - 2Rock Clean, definition is 7.0 for the HB and 6.1 for the tele.
As far as the sound of these with humbuckers I am seriously impressed - the sound of these with a 335 or an LP is just superb. Classic rock tones of every stripe. Andy is not kidding about his new setup.
-
Latest versions are no longer crashing for me. I had repeated crashes when turning off KPA with RM open and even just pasting profiles into folders. No crashes in the last week or so.

This mod takes the bright cap out of the circuit - or so I gather.
-
Neils has lots of tasteful stuff in his Youtube channel. Single coils finger-style and very melodic.
-
Those samples are tweaked for tele/strat and are at the darker end of the spectrum with an LP but the sense of room ambience on them is quite noticeable. I like the full tone you are getting - many profiles of amps like the Fender are pretty dry but not these. Looking forward to the full set with versions for different pickup styles.

Well - we've all gotta go some time. And you certainly coaxed some great sounds out of it while it was around, (sniff) .

This set sounds great so far - plenty of variation with the boost/cab/mic options. Cederick's pick sounds awesome for me on LP as well. I particulary like the TUL G12 profiles and the TS808 has a great tone with this amp. Keep em coming.

Hi,
I was interested to try this but that is a dead link, unfortunately. Error message says it can't download due to unknown error. Where is it hosted?

I dub thee, Game of Tonks.
Joffrey Jr has a nice ring to it ...

No pedals required for this amp would be the verdict of the owner I know. The Ultra channel has heaps.

Welcome home, Andy.

Great work on this pack, TJ. Very impressive tones right across the gain range.

Thanks for the polytone tip, Philip78.
