I wonder if there'll ever be vintage firmwares in the future?

Summer solstice today. Just putting it out there. I mean it doesn't really get more summer than today.

Hopefully the new speaker won't be like Celestion China crap. I'll just go with Eminence if it is.
Of all the things this new Kemper cab and speaker could be called, I seriously doubt "crap" is going to be anywhere on the list.

Imagine having similar capabilities for presets than what you have for Rigs now within Rig Manager.
My imagination is rather stunted, you'll have to show me Mr Burkhard.

Could it be used on a kettle too? Maybe you'd get better steam?

The announcements are oddly obscured.

I dont even care about the basic Factory rigs. I BUY rigs every week , and dowload from RE too, and got enough job fine tuning every rigs and choosing the best . It depends also on the guitar I use so I indicate Les Paul or Gibson retc on every rig as I fine tune. You should try to get the best you can instead of the basic factory ''ordinary'' preset . Buy some you'll see how good some are and it's not expensive . Download some on RE Come on !
That's a little dismissive. There is a lot of good to excellent stuff in the factory content and the rig exchange. Don't be fooled that there is some chasmic difference in quality between the free rigs and the commercial rigs. Some of the most generally revered rigs out there are freebies. And before anyone chirps I am not dissing the commercial stuff, just sticking up for all the generous people who give you their work for free.

Question to mothership:
Will there be an "Early Bird"-Action for the KEMPER-Kabinet (similar to the remote-release few years ago) ?
I would be surprised if there wasn't.
That brings it all back, signing up for the remote early bird, and then everyone chewing at the bit, patiently ( bwahahaha) waiting for their remotes to turn up.

Why not, in a great sense of irony, allow the option of using the Profiler as a control surface for the upcoming editor?

How long would you expect a pack of foil sealed strings to last?
A couple years back I got loads of packs of Ernie Ball Cobalt strings that were on offer. They were in foil bags and I thought they'd be good for a long time. i've still got a few bags, but the last I opened today was pitted with, what I guess is rust? They've been kept in reasonable ( for the the U.K.) conditions.
Thought it might be interesting to tap into the wealth of knowledge around here and ask for opinions on how long to expect a pack of strings to last.

half of me hopes you're wrong, because the other half of me knows I'd have to get one of those, probably in stereo, so that'd be two.

I'm going to throw a party for time travelling kemper users. If anyone would like to come, please bring the new firmware to my place last tuesday.
This sense of humor (if it's a joke) is too much for me too subtle for me as english is my second langage . You mean to bring the new reverb at your party last tuesday? which mean as soon as possible? No surely not... I dont get it sorry... I try very hard
An interesting paradox too. If the time traveling kemper user brought the future firmware to mollydyer's last Tuesday he would not have to ask them to do it now.

I've looked into Bluetooth before. The best aptx I found claimed to clock in at around 40ms- good enough for lip sync watching TV. 16ms for Bluetooth is by far the best latency I've come across, guess the progress of technology marches ever onwards.
Thanks for pointing out the mono aspect Atlantic, never thought of that.

As far as I know you could use a Xvive U2 set up to feed your headphones too .
-
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Nice tweaks Kemper team. Works for me. Onwards and upwards

Hopefully unspeakable things, in the inner circles of hell will happen to the perpetrators of this act.
Sorry to read your bad news Morph. Best wishes for something good.

I disagree. I think this place will be a ghost town. People will be too busy playing them. ?
Sadly that won't be the case. No matter what awesome brilliance the Kemper team come up with. This forum will be enduring another round of " why didn't they do this?" thread, closely followed by a "why didn't they do that?" thread, with a thinly veiled " it's all about me, and they got it wrong" thread.
Still. Most of us are going to delighted and grateful and blown away by the next chapter of Kemper genius.

Wow. Is this the darker theme you're after?
There's a name for regimes who silence things they don't want to hear....

First impressions from me are a thumbs down. Makes me feel like matey in a clockwork orange with his eyes pinned open getting re-educated trying to read this.

Couldn't Kemper make a compact floor unit that is slaved to your profiler? An encrypted link or something, I dunno, to activate it and load stuff on it.
