I use a Beyerdynamic Opus 900 (600 MHz). Outstanding quality, range and reliability.

Look for a refurbished Lenovo X- or T-Series, about 3 to 5 years old, with i5 CPU, 8 GB RAM and 256 or 512 GB SSD. These models have an outstanding hardware quality, are very reliable and have enough power for almost every DAW software.
I have an 1st generation i7 system (about 10 years old) and never reached more than 40% CPU load, even when using a lot of plugins and about 30 tracks. IMHO there is no need for more CPU power for a DAW.

Great, thank you. We will try this next week.
By the way: I'll be at the HOA (as almost every year).

@Cederick: this profile sounds awesome, checked it out two days ago.
Would you mind sharing your GSP1101's settings and IR file? My band's other guitar player also uses a GSP1101... -
Our band's other guitar player also uses a GSP1101, very good sound for quite little money.
Would you mind sharing your settings and IR you used for the examples?

Very good profiles! Thank you again for sharing.
Just out of curiosity: The rig called "Engl Blackmore Lead 1b DI" should be a direct profile and has cab button deactivated. But it definitely sounds like a cab is baked in? How could this be?
Thank you!
Hm, strange... I will check this next time when I'll be at the rehearsal room.

What about a Boss GT1? Cheap and backpack light
I use a Boss GT-1 for playing at home and for "small" gigs: quite good sound and a very handy feature is, that it can run on 4 AA batteries.

I go to the HOA every year, also this time. Best festival IMHO.

It would be great to have a threshold setting for the wah auto on/off "bypass@stop" feature.
I have a wah with "bypass@stop" in almost all my rigs and usually it works fine, but sometimes the wah is accidentally activated by just very slight movement of the expression pedal, caused by vibrations on a loud stage. MIDI CC +/- 1 is sufficient to activate it, which can be annoying.
This problem could be avoided by adding a threshold setting, so the wah would be activated when the expression pedal's position changed by more than e.g. MIDI CC +/- 5.

Hughes & Kettner Grandmeister 36
3 direct profiles using the amp's internal DI-box
Channels: Clean, Crunch & Lead
I created these profiles "quick and dirty" as there was only a little time... just plugging in, setting all parameters to 12 o'clock and starting the profiling process
Refined with a Carvin CS6 guitar.https://www.attacktion.de/down…Grandmeister36-Direct.zip

As I had bad experiences with 2,4 GHz systems (WiFi trouble) I switched to a 620 MHz Beyerdynamic Opus 900 (TS910M & NE-911): no interferences at all and outstanding audio quality.
It's not the cheapest wireless-system, but IMHO worth the price. -
Try out the "tremolo" effect (e.g. at slot x).
First set it up as you'd like to have it when it's 100% activated, at last play with the ducking settings to have it activated only when not hitting the strings.
For distorted sounds ducking set somewhere between - 3 and +3 should work (just guessing, I'm not at my Kemper amp at the moment).
-
These are really the best profiles of this amp I know... awesome!
Hi guys,
we're proud to present the ultimative Rock Amp. This is one of the best Soldariu you've ever heard!!!Soldariu SLO

I didn't check out the sound, but anyway I need it so badly that I'd sell my Kemper to get the money for giving you the money in exchange for this profile.
-
Yes, really strange. I have no idea... for me it worked from the first minute, both at the rehearsal room and on stage.
-
The factory settings of the MIDI Grande work with the Kemper, but some manual configuration has to be done if you want to use all it's features (e.g. showing the tuner or assign expression pedal). Progamming it is not that hard, if you have at least basic knowledge about MIDI.
The model/number of switches should fit your needs. For me the 8F1D is perfect, because I need only 5 or 6 sounds.
As each switch has two layers you could assign two similar sounds to one switch and select the second one by stepping twice on the same switch: e.g. rhythm on layer one of the first switch and the same rhythm sound with a slight volume boost on the second layer.
-
I use it very rarely, but if so I set it similar as @karlic sais: the original panned hard to one side, a delay of about 10-15 ms to the other side.
For the kemper there is no "perfect" internal mono to stereo effect available so far. The Mimiq Doubler seems do the trick quite well:
