Shimmer reverb is a certain type of reverb so I doubt you can achieve it with a delay. Perhaps something that will resemble a shimmer, but not spot on. Another reason for the reverbs to be updated...

I tried the settings above and they work quite good. I like to set the Swell to 100% and use Ducking (between 0.0 and 1.0) to control the speed of the effect. And Delay Balance to 0.0.

The sounds are all well well done and when i play them isolated i add a little trebel and reduce the mids a little and everything is fine. What i mean is the recorded example. These are isolated sounds and for my ears they sound a little, what do you say, dull. When i compare it to the phil x video presentation the sounds in the presentation are exactly with that crisp i expect.
To me Bert's profiles are more sophisticated than aggressive. Say, more Peter Frampton than Gary Moore, for the lack of better examples. And in a hard rock context these might be a little "dull" as @Eltzejupp mentioned. Still, these is easily the best BE profiles there is.

He just did a marshall jubilee/800 pack i thought
Thanks, I'll have to check those.

Just played through the v2 Fish profiles. These are very good, thank you!
I would be very interested if you ever made profiles of amp heads too. -
I also support this idea. Low and high cut would be better than the current shelving EQ controls in the output section.
Or how about a Studio EQ at the output? This would do the HP and LP and more. And even better would be if the EQ was assignable per preset or globally so that different presets could be treated individually. -
I think one beneficial feature concerning merged profiles would be the ability to disable the Studio EQ from the monitor output.
Nowadays there are more and more profiles that use post EQ in one or more of the EFFECTS slots to sculpt the tone, but unfortunately it also affects the monitor out signal.
In many cases close miking introduces lots of unwanted lows and highs etc. that have to be cleaned out, but for example hi-passing at 120Hz doesn't sound good when coming out of a guitar cab.
My suggestion would be that there was a possibility to put the Studio EQ in the CAB section of a profile. That way it wouldn't mess the sound coming from the real guitar speaker and also it wouldn't take a slot from the EFFECTS section. -
I think that the dilemma for manufacturers releasing their own official profiles is the lack of piracy protection.
Still, I would love to see Friedman, Bogner etc. jump on this bandwagon. -
I can't imagine how someone could play in a live situation with a profile with the gain dimed or even past 3 o'clock. It would start feeding back uncontrollably even form the PA.

@citizengain I think I used a Peavey DPC-750 digital poweramp for that one...
Thanks! Sounds great despite or because of the unorthodox gear used.

@breu, is there a "real" amp involved with the Orange Bangeetar profiles in the Pack 2? Or are they like the BOR profiles in the first pack? I really dig the Orange profiles for being crisp but not piercing.

I have noticed the same thing with Neutrik Ethercon D- shape panel connectors that I installed in my feedthrough panel. For some reason KPA doesn't have enough juice to deal with the added resistance that the connector introduces. I have solved the issue by using PoE injector. That way I can also use much longer cables with the remote without the display dimming.
-
An ultimate Kemper would be such that it would have multiple "probing points": After stomp boxes, after pre-amp, after power-amp and after the miked speaker. That way distortion generated in different stages would be profiled correctly.
-
The problem is solved. I changed all the CAT cables to SF/UTP-type cables with the metal collars on the connectors and now the potential difference between the remote's ground and the guitar's (KPA's) ground is only 1V. So no more zaps.
-
I think his archtop guitar has both magnetic and piezo outputs. My guess is that KPA is for the magnetic pickup and the EQ and bass amp are for the piezo.
-
Thank you for your help @digbob! The injector's power supply doesn't have ground. It's just a 48V wall wart.
The lack of ground is probably the culprit. I think the problem is that the CAT cables that connect the injector don't have grounds connected. I should try with CAT cables that have the metal collar so that the injector's floating ground (=no ground) connects to the KPA's ground.
-
I noticed that when I touch the strings and the Kemper Remote the same time, in getting zapped. I measured 75V AC between the strings and the buttons on the remote. Luckily the current is very small.
The problem seems to be the TP-LINK PoE Injector that I'm using with long CAT cable. Without it, the potential difference is only a couple of volts.
Has anybody else ran into this kind of problem? -
How about Citizen Gain profiles?
-
The kind of clean+dirty dual amp thing that is in the OP, Kemper is unable to produce. There are many SRV sounds though, and KPA might be able to produce some of those better.

Bert, your JTM profiles in the Pack 2 are among my favourite profiles.
I think I'll have to buy a JTM type amp soon... Concerning that, is your amp modded? Some of JTMs are quite flubby in the bass, but your profiles don't suffer from that.
Another question: Is your Bogner 2x12 a closed back or open back?
