Yes, the amp comes through the headphones loud and clear

SM58. It's all I have

I'm a bit perplexed (read: buggered), lol. No on/off switch and XLR already feeding the return. Maybe I just have to accept the both the mic and the amp aren't exactly powerful. Perhaps I would need to invest in a condenser mic?

Hi thanks, but I did that, and no joy. I turned it up so high that it introduced loads of hiss, and still came up with the error.

Hi all.
Trying to profile an amp but having problems. It's my 1st attempt, and have followed the hook-up instructions. I'm getting an error saying either no amp is connected or the volume is too low. The amp is a tiny Seller Little Giant and does not do loud. The amp sounds fine when monitored through headphones via the Kemper, so that rules out the "no amp connected" suggestion. I'm using a Shure SM58, and cannot get it any closer, as it's touching the cloth. I've tried cranking up the return level to it's maximum. Just an error message a few seconds in every time. Any ideas?

You can't beat a bit o' British hardboard No little people, although I might encourage my partner's cats to have a peep

Again, that went "Whoosh", straight over my head, lol. But now I have something to google

...I forgot my job right away after the first note.
I was so blown away that ended up join the community.
Haha. We've all been there

Thanks for the info It's all new territory for me, vintage amps.

Thanks Gary
To be honest, once I've profiled the old girl (still not had chance yet), I doubt I shall play it. It'll be a bit of decor. Once profiled I can manipulate the sound a lot more to my needs.

Sorry Don. Got the pics working now Not sure if it is actually faulty, as it is quite a tiny thing, but I'll check the above advice, and maybe a bit of research. When I say it's quiet, it's loud enough, just not wall-penetrating.

how old are the tubes?
Not too sure. I know the amp was serviced before I bought it to make sure it was safe. Mind you, peering inside, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they are the full 54 years old
-
Thanks for the clarification So, are the exact same amps that you fit available to buy from anywhere?
-
Given that they insert power amps into Kempers and then sell them as powered units, why can't I purchase a purpose-built Kemper power amp from Kemper? Or do they sell them, but they're hard to find on their product pages? It seems a bit odd having to go 3rd party. Or are the ones in the powered Kempers supplied from a 3rd party?

Thank you very much. I'll fire it up in the morning

Stumbled upon this the the other day. What an amazing duet

The Selmer turned up today. Really is a quaint little thing. Quite surprised at the lack of volume from it though. I know it's only 4-watts, but I've owned 5-watt amps that could upset people across the street. Maybe things were powered differently back in the 60's, and it is only supposed to be a practise amp. The good news is that, because it is relatively quiet, I should have no problems profiling it. It shall be my very 1st attempt. I've been absolutely dying to turn that Kemper chicken-head all the way to the right. Tomorrow seems likely

Lol!! I checked the rig exchange, and it appears that there is indeed a space
