Ich würde es einfach ausprobieren und das Ohr entscheiden lassen. Auch wenn es vielleicht nicht ganz im Sinne des Erfinders ist, heisst das nicht automatisch, das es schlecht klingt.

Meine The Paul hat ebenfalls 490R und 498T Pickups. Werksseitig waren die Pickups ziemlich hoch eingestellt. Ich habe die Pickups etwas heruntergeschraubt, etwa um 1 Millimeter. Das hat schon geholfen. Die Gitarre ist jetzt nur noch unwesentlich lauter als andere Humbucker Gitarren.

Es gibt über der "Input" Taster eine LED. Solange die grün leuchtet, wenn man spielt, ist alles im grünen Bereich. Erst wenn die Gelb leuchtet, ist das Input Signal zu hoch für den Kemper.

Ich höre auf der Aufnahme kein Krizzeln, möglicherweise ist ein Problem mit deinem Audiointerface?

I've tried to run Rigmanager on Linux with Wine a few months back, but had no luck. Rigmanager uses the dotnet framework, and these type of applications are difficult to get working on Wine.

If there would be a native Linux Version of Rigmanager i'd change over to Linux immediately.

I recommend tapewound strings to make the sound more acoustic.

I made some profiles of an SWR PB-200 Amp. They are in the Rig exchange and named:

SAM - SWR Studio
SAM - SWR Reggae
SAM - SWR Jazz
SAM - SWR Rock
SAM - SWR Slap

The amp settings and the names of the sounds are from a picture from the SWR website. I've attached the picture to this post.

The PB-200 was SWR's first product, it was made from 1984 to 1987. I bought mine in 1987 at No 1 Music Shop in Hamburg, Germany.
The profiles are Recorded using the XLR DI out from the amp directly connected to the Kemper.
