I recently "re-arranged" things in my smallish studio/mancave. I used a short cable to connect the guitar to the DOD 240 mixer I had (I use it so that I wouldn't wear out the jack on my guitar processors). I got what sounded like a straight out raw guitar tone out of my Kemper. No amp, cab, tones or anything else. At first I didn't believe it was the cable because I've heard these straight thru tones of an unprocessed guitar before, and that's exactly what it sounded like. After rechecking everything else, turns out it was the short cable I added. I've never ran across that before where a cable would just sux the tones completely from a patch, but this one did. So check yer cables when things don't sound just right like you remember them...

Hum... I found this --> https://www.kemper-amps.com/factoryrigs... a reference for all factory rigs and that answered just about everything.
Thanks!

Good article. Things going on I didnt know about when making a "studio" profile versus making a DI profile and then adding the studio in (called a Merged profile) If I understood correctly.

Quote from HGarlH
I don't miss NAMM. It's much more enjoyable watching the Youtube vids and staying at home.
Says a 50+ year old guy in hair metal bands from the 80's
Now ask me how I know...

Yes, It's like midnight in the woods, around the campfire
Everyone eating beans, when the guy walks out of the trailer and says "What in the Wide world of Sports in going on out here!?!

I never needed an Editor. But for the Kemper "oh yesssss we wants one" !
-
Im thinking that theres plenty of room for Rig Manager AND an editor.
That said, what ever they add is more than welcome!!!

I'm thinking of getting a Firehawk 1500 to do exactly the same thing. Can you explain how you achieved this please? I've got the powered KPA.
Cheers
Sure,
My KPA is NOT powered, so your setup may not work as mine did. However here is how I did the hookup.
Monitor port out from KPA into the Firehawk 1500's return jack (this uses the horn and 12" speaker for the center dry channel). Main outs left and right (set to "delay/reverb wet" in the output tab) into the monitor left and right on the Firehawk 1500 (this uses the two outside mid range speakers). Thus Wet dry Wet setup. BTW I am also using a mixer in between the Kemper and the Firehawk 1500 to be able to "fine tune" the output lvl's as needed, but you don't have to do that to make it work as Im just anal that way
Hope this helps as it sounds just KILLER DILLER!

Im using an ART SLA-2 that works well with my 2x12 cab. It takes a 1 rack unit space.

Yea so OP go back and add the word "Kemper" in using an Atomic wedge, sheeesh !
