The learning curve is easy. On first use, you take it out of the box and turn the browse knob. Bam.. Instant sea of amazing amps at your disposal.
There are a lot of features that for some reason people feel they must learn, understand and tweak to get a good sound. I don't understand this mentality at all. If you treat it like a real amp (and are using a profile in the ballpark of the gain you're after) it's really pretty much plug and play. Turn the eq knobs and adjust the gain like a real amp and well, you have the tones of the real amp!
I agree some of the effects could be upgraded to be up to par with some of the elite specialty pedals out there (delays!), but for capturing an amps sound - its hard to beat!
I don´t see the point of wingeing on about poor quality effects, when you can plug in just about any other effect pedal of your choice - including any one of the "infamous" spring reverbs some require - what is wrong with a mixture of analog to digital in this case? There was a thread complaining about the inability of the Kemper to deal with complex algorithms associated with, inter alia spring reverb effects owing to its slow processing power. Honestly, who gives a flying f**k as to whether these effects are present in Kemper or not, as long as you can connect the little fuc***s as and when you need them? No offence people, but just pull your fingers out and get stuck in... to playing music! I'll get my coat... Gotta gig to go to...

Really? Global since 3.1? I never noticed it before 4!!
I remember when it first came as a hidden setting in one of the updates. But I stopped using artist mode for a while. I just saw it in the cab section because I scrolled past SPDIF volume for the first time.
Eep.
Time... is on my side (but) YES IT IS! I´m sorry - I could´t resist (since 3.1)

OP, why don't you ask these clowns, they seem to have a massive following of three people on facebook:
That is the biggest load of CR*P I have seen for a long time.
However, there´s no such thing as bad advertising...

IMO and FWIW, the difference between the 2 is like day and night. I say 4.0x beta is streets ahead...

It plays fantastic. Fast attack, long sustain, very consistent over the whole fretboard.
Come over and try it, I'm living close to Frankfurt.Time ain´t on my side ... Otherwise surely...

As I stated before I´m very happy with the Matrix FR212. Give them a chance- I don´t think you'll be disappointed.

Oh, right. I made a mess!
Going to edit my post, thanks!
Actually, if it takes 1 W to generate 100 dB, efficiency should by definition be 100 dB, not 96?
Whatever. It's more than enough to clean out your ear wax... -
+1
Yep, and I wanna know how she plays... -

My Kemper morphed!!!!!!!!!!!!
................and the profiles it makes are a little hot and distorted
I see you have the gain turned way up. No wonder the profiles are crispy!!!!

I still have one as a back up to the remote and a Mission CP with a Uno4 Kemper EPROM chip I installed myself. I still think it works well. I think you´re doing ok with that...

Yes, welcome and thank you here!

Just got this one today, a Nik Huber Twangmeister. As a custom order it has the same neck shape as my Huber Krautster

And here it is with siblings, Orca 59 and Krautster
[Blocked Image: http://i1000.photobucket.com/albums/af123/Firebird6/Hubers.jpg]Real grain on the left and almost perfectly matched! I love the black soap-bar pickup!

All,
- getting rid of my 4x12 would be a dream come true!!
Unless you have a truck to move them around - I´d agree with you. I hope it´s just the build of the cab and not the Celestions which are mediocre... I´m very pleased with my Tubethomsen cab.

Words of wisdom right there
@Michael_dk I agree. Entirely.

@V8guitar good luck in your search for your holy grail of sound

nice setup!
Yeah really cool set up @flyingheelhook, tell me, are those masterpieces in the background and over your cab woven, or did you tie-dye them? I might get my girlfiend, who's a textile designer, to run up something like that.

Hi Sharry,
It is a good multi-receptacle surge suppressor with a bit of UPS battery capacity. However, it definitely is not a voltage regulator. It will not correct for poor mains voltage supply, such as sags, brownouts or overvoltages.
The UPS function only activates upon loss of voltage (power interruption / loss), and unlike more expensive UPS systems, it will not output a smooth sinewave to the connected equipment. By contrast, a true voltage regulator is constantly and continuously monitoring and correcting input supply voltage within a wide range (e.g. 97V to 137V) while it outputs a stable 120V to the connected equipment.
Again, nothing wrong with the APC unit. You definitely want to have a good surge protector. Furthermore, the small UPS capacity might give you enough time to save any edited rigs and safely shutdown your KPA. However, don't mistake that APC unit with a voltage regulator.
Mind you, I am not saying everyone needs an automatic voltage regulator. However, if you have crappy power and/or you travel and play clubs that likewise have crappy power...then a true AVR + power conditioner, such as the Furman, is highly recommended.
Cheers,
JohnJohn, erm we have 220-240 V in Europe... Perhaps why the option costs 1500 Euros? Just an aside FWIW...
