Welcome to Kemper hot source sound country.
(Where our modeller friends Axe and Line etc. really have to ketchup)

verbs verbs verbs... well they made em up in Hollywood, put em into the movies... Brian Ferry?
And then Helmut Newton made them... well you know...

Welcome, Karl!
Another vote for Pure Cab™ here. To my mind it's the perfect antidote to phase issues incurred by the Profile maker, such as comb filtering, high-end rasp / ice-pick ear-chiselling and so on. If that stuff floats your boat, leave it off.
It's obviously ideal to find Profiles that don't require such corrections, but there'll be times, such as when browsing the Rig Exchange, that one might be more-likely to encounter "more-offensive" sounds that demand some sort of phase-anomaly taming... IMHO.
Absolutely Monkey_Man !!!!

When I was a kid I made my own OD. I used an LED to drive a phototransistor circuit in order to uncouple the input stage and get gynormous gain.
The input circuit was from Elektor mag, but the coupling was my own. Just a pedal switch in a grey cast alloy box and a single knob for gain... I can remember feeling frustrated as a 15 year old not getting the same sounds as they did on TOP of the POPs for the theme tune (Whole Lotta Love) - at the time I did not know about recording and miked amps...
It´s a real shame I don't have the OD now - sold it to (another) teenager whilst I got my first Strat...
Cheers!
Jim.

Sounds like you are a slow burner - smooth in the oven and allow the chocolate of the knowledge to seep over the caramel and biscuit... Sorry just switched my toaster on and am about to sample the tonal flavour...
@deigoruellez welcome!

I check in daily, still curious what Kemper has coming out next!Come back Ben - all is forgiven! Seriously though - might we not be overtaxing the CPU - unless of course we up the clock rate? I wonder what its current rate is. Anyone know?

Hey Freisegler (Jim)
Thanks. I did actually read the basic manual..a small booklet that I got with the amp and was only a few pages...saying what to basically do. But there was nothing about troubleshooting or resetting or anything. A bit odd for an amp this quality.
AJ
There is a very comprehensive reference manual available with updates per OS release - have look at the downloads section of the website - unless I'm very much mistaken (again )

I'm wondering the same thing SQUAREHEAD
Me too... (sigh). I agree with you prsgary,
The reverb is not the entire blurb...
Its the fingles that make the tingles,
Up your spine - yours and mine.

You can simply change the name of the owner? I changed mine from nakedzen to Raivio Sound and it works normally.
System->[Page 1] Edit owner
Never saw that on the page - thats why I want into panic mode - oh the shame of it!

If it was an old lady, then I would ask her for a cup of tea and a couple of biscuits as payment. *
I might put grey dye in my hair and wear my granddad's clothes next time I go to a luthier. Worth a try.**
Good lad*
I don't need grey dye and I don't wear the best threads either. That's why the Luthier´s always the first call...

Why not? Read about the topic and collect some information, use the right tools and maybe try on another nut or similar material.
I never understood why guitar players don't take the time to learn some easy things to setup their guitars themselves. If you can learn to play a song with your hands, the same fingers should be able to do simple works like changing tuners, adjust trussrod or cutting a nut.
It is just a nut. If it is broken you can fix it - or change to a new one. You can do this a thousand times.
Of course you can find a luthier to do it. But the most things are not rocket science and you get a better feel for your instrument by learning about the specific funtionality.
Ibot39 You are so right... Would you do that if you had a 100K+ LP that had developed a G-string problem whilst in your care?
-
As a few have said, the issues are due to the break angle - and the binding this causes in the nut.
It has been this way since the day they were made, so the binding isn't a QC issue. Their nuts have always been like this.
The only fix needed is to have the nut cut, and by all means, take it to a luthier for it to be done. I'd think it is the most common job any luthier will do on a Les Paul so it should be no problem for them to do it effectively.
Yeah, don't do it yourself ...

Hi and Welcome maxrock1 !
I´m not sure what to do, after having looked through the System options. You might have to contact the Kemper Admin. Have a look at the support section of the Kemper website. If you have profiles stored in the unit, SAVE THEM to a usb stick or the Rig Manager. (please excuse the loud talk Administrator , but I think this is contextually relevant)
All the best with the KEMPER - it´s an exceptionally well worked out piece of kit - and don't forget to RTFM (Read the F......g Manual )

I don't want to see this. One picture was enough ;).
She's such a beauty.......
I have the same feeling - playing a LP GABY Collector´s Choice. The all time favourite of my (only) 6 guitars...
