  • Kemper, Logicpro X and Focusrite 6i6

    Hey, I have the same stuff as you set up :thumbup: . However, I haven't done much recording using the KPA yet, as I spend a lot of time writing songs. Now, I am up to it, and hope to find some quick shortcuts in here... So - I wonder, do you have any recommendations on how I should connect the KPA to the UAD for the best results? I.e.; are you using specific outs and ins, cables and settings? And are you using UAD plugins? And - do you have any tips for settings or tips in Logic that might come in handy?

    Nice and tidy! :thumbup: I am setting up mine now, and testing various pedals. I have the kemper kp1 from Mission and a Yamaha expression pedal. I am also considering using a Dunlop DVP1 before the Kemper, and control the input volume from there. I gather you use the Dunlops DVP3 from the expression outputs... yes? Are you using TRS cables, and how did you assign them in the chain?


    I hav not installed 4.0 yet, and figure I'll give it another month so the initial bugs are fixed... In your opinion, will that give other options to connecting the remote and external pedals?

  • Using the KPA with UA Apollo Twin Duo - Best connections?

    Hi.
    I am just hooking up the gear in my home studio... and hoping to get some good advice on the forum... : )


    What connections would give me the best and most balanced signal/ sound connection my new KPA to my UA Apollo Twin Duo?


    I dont have a converter from S/PDIF to optical - so that one is not an option right now.


    Should I use the main outs from the KPA, and i sf would the XLRs do a better job than the Jacks? Plus, should I go for the instrument input in front using a stereo plug to connect (coming from a split XLR or Jack main outs on the KPA)? Or is there a better way?
