Hi Matt, do you mean that the download doesn't work or the profile? It was profiled using tue 3.2 software release.

ve seen many users requesting an overhaul of the menu as it is already (and I agree), as all the wheeling backwards and forwards is probably the least user friendly part of the KPA OS. !
With an editor that would not have been a problem..
Everything seems to be ok, are you logged in?
Could you try again please?
For every enquiry feel free to contact us
Yes, I was logged in, but it worked now.
Hi guys! It's time to back to school...But il will be more pleasant with some Choptones products
Just use BACKTO20 coupon during Checkout for a 20% discount!
Doesn't work: Warning: Coupon is either invalid, expired or reached its usage limit!
Having a per rig option (located in the cab section) would make pure cab i finitely more useful for me.
+1
- 13 High Gain amps.
- 3 different cabs loaded with Celestion V30’s.
- High-Gain, Crunch, Clean and Lead tones.
- 6 Hybrid profiles of 2 amps through 2 cabs.
- 132 Professional quality profiles in total.
Anyone tried these?
I'd love to have a PC editor. It's much easier for me to sit at my desk when recording and manipulate controls using my mouse (I already do this with my DAW and Axe FX) than it is to reach over and turn knobs.
This one works great.
Most if not all those you listed don't use it if for Amp modeling. Metallica used it once for amp models as far as I can remember in the Grammy and it was an Epic fail probably the worst performance by Metallica ever.
Wrong, I mentioned these artists since they all use it for amp modelling.
Clearly the reason I repeat myself is because, some including you, are unable to get it. There's no shame in that, you can reread and a light bulb might light up and then, what you refer to as broken record would make a lot of sense, don't hit yourself in the head then, everyone has limitations that they have to live with. You'll get it someday, just hang in there Ingolf.
So I guess high profile artists like Satriani, Dweezil Zappa, Adrian Belew, The Edge, Metallica, Ty Tabor, Chris Broderick, Periphery and Meshuggah don't get it either then?
OK folks. Here's a question for you non-metal players:
If you were allowed only one guitar to handle everything, what would it be?
My PRS SE 30th Anniversary Custom 24. Only a SE model, but great nevertheless.
I don't like the subject of this threat.
Even if there is no copyright, I think that in this forum the catchphrase "for the price of..." is to be considered Guidorist's property.
Your rigs are probably awesome but commercial creativity is not your strength.
Just my honest opinion. Sorry.
I think it was kind of funny.
I actually did,
And you forgot to mention that you got it wrong on the previous page.
Quoteif you go earlier in this thread you will see that I posted a dry track also of demonstrating the Bognar xtc in the KPA, deadpan reamped using the AX8 when posted, the AXE FX didn't clean up as well as the KPA by a long shot. Everyone thought the KPA sounded rounder and better
In the first clip, yes. You but forgot to mention that the consensus was that in the second comparison the AXE sounded better.
Quoteeven deadpan and openly said it wasn't easy to match a profile from KPA using the AXE FX. Hence the obvious conclusion, that for AMP modeling the AXE II still has a lot of catching up to do to be in the same league as that of the KPA.
Strange that you could not pick out the KPA in the last comparion then? Well well.
I agree with producer Lasse Lammert when it comes to modelers vs Kemper.
"pros and cons vs a fractal?"
-"Lasse Lammert: easy answer:
Fractal sounds like a really good amp modeller that mimics the tone of someone else's idea of how a miked amp should sound.
Yes, if you profile your own rig. If not, the profile will be someone else's idea of how a miked amp should should.
QuoteBoth have great FX."
The Axe arguably has better, and far more flexible, FX.
1. KPA
2. Axe

One man's fizzy is another man's hairy.
The Axe does not have an inherent fizz. It is only fizzy if dialed in that way. Unfortunately I like brighter tones and for me it is more clear and cuts more. Darker tones are generally dull to me and unlively.
Both devices can be both.
They are both professional devices and in the right hands amazing.
You are talking on deaf ears.
Someone posted this over at The Gear Page. Do you agree? I do, especially when it comes to hi-gain profiles.
I think the KPA is a revolutionary piece of gear. However... I know I'm not alone in this, but I also know that many don't agree... I find that there's a large degree of sameness in the gain and character across profiles. It's the nature of the beast. There are a limited number of reference profiles in the unit to which the source can be compared. ( http://www.google.com/patents/US20080134867 ). What I'm hearing and feeling are similar gain structures across amps that shouldn't be similar at all, especially as you alter the parameters in the profile away from the captured settings. I do not find this to exist in modeling platforms where a Vox sounds/feels like a Vox, a Marshall like a Marshall, a Fender like a Fender, and a Mesa like a Mesa. The net result of all of this is that you can make as many profiles and sell as many profiles as you like, but they start all sounding and feeling the same.
Great job profiling!! That is also an awesome testament to the power of the Kemper. Refined sounded best, unrefined sounded 2nd best and AX8 was third.
Oh, come on Why didn't you come to that conclusion before the answer was revealed?
So I tried the Axe in the Kemper loop before the amp and it was very noisy. Any ideas why? Move the loop to after the amp all is fine...
Why not run the KPA in the AX8 loop? Works great with the Axe II.
I'm super excited at the thought of having both units. Just for kicks, I've downloaded and re-amped a few Kemper samples through the Axe using some of the Axe's effects and the result was really beautiful. The first order of business will be to buy some Michael Britt profile packs.
His packs are great. I also recommend TopJimi if you want some amazing Marshall tones.
For amp modeling/profiling they are not even close, KPA is in a different league.
I own both, and they are pretty pretty close, neither is in a different league. Obviously the Axe cannot profile, but then the KPA does not offer the deep editing/customizing like the Axe. I repeat, both sound amazing if you know what you are doing.
That's a true statement, but my understanding is that this thread is the AXE FX8 patches of amp models are being profiled using the kemper with a great deal of success. Sure the AXE has more effects but if we're talking amp modeling the title of this thread is a testament that the Kemper is more capable in AMP tones
The Axe with the Q2 firmware is pretty damn close. The KPA may have the slight edge when it comes to raw amp tone (at least for cleaner / mid-gain tones), but I really doubt this is noticeable in the mix. Both sound amazing if you know what you are doing.
