Ha! The only thing I found very easy to use on the Kemper was the ON Switch which actually doesn't even say "ON". LOL.

I agree with all of that but to save space have left the bit that most applies to me
By focussing on the wants and needs of professionals in terms of high quality, versatility and functionality; whilst improving and providing options to simplify adding modelling to an already outstanding set of features.
All for free! Kemper really is a most praiseworthy company.

My yaying is mainly for new free stuff. Free being dependent on direction of free thing, specifically incoming. Also, major props to a company that sold me a product that did exactly what I wanted 8 years ago and has given me hundreds of pounds (Scottish currency) of free stuff in the meantime. Yay, yay and thrice yay

I'm using Elixir too at the moment. .010's on my Strat-scale guitars and .011 on my LP-scale ones. .012 phosphor bronze on acoustics, I think these sound great. I saw an offer for a bundle of Cleartone strings: a lot more affordable than Elixir's. Are these strings any good? Do you have any experience with them?
I saw all the video's about .009's being more resonant and everything. This gauge still feels like dental floss to me, what are your thoughts about lighter strings? SRV must have heard something torturing himself with .013's.
I really liked the move to .009s, less effort and really similar tone. I have a hefty pick which gives a really pingy tone on the high strings and it works fine. I have a video on the share your music thread using a Charvel with .009s to get a thick old jazz tone so all good there. Haven’t tried cleartones but would be interested in how you get on if you give them a try

Having watched with great interest the current discourse on fret wear and strings, I’d be interested to hear what folk are using and why. For myself, I use elixir optiweb .09’s having made the step just recently to move down from .10s as they’re less work. As coated strings, they seem to put the tension up by around half a gauge but last for ages and retain pitch longer. What are your thoughts?

I've seen players experience this and the investigation led to Chinese counterfeit strings.
The package is copied and the strings are crap.
for myself I use elixirs, more expensive but don’t tarnish and last for ages. The coating might even help with fret wear but that’s my supposition

I'm intrigued, I have stainless steel frets and they work wonders, none of them are cheap or Gibson. Bending is a dream etc. Just thought I'd chip in

As I thought about it, it could also be a stereo signal from the Kemper panned centrally on each track. Just a thought. How did the OP get on?

Display MoreHW sometimes exaggerates. But the way he emphasizes "Biiiiggg announcements from Kemper" should mean something more than a new OS version.
Here's what I can say with 100% certainty:
- Kemper has something new up their sleeve
- Some will love it and treat it like the Second Coming
- Others will cry "Useless....not what I meant!!!!! You fan boys suck......Kemper is toast....they're way behind.....never listen....My (Head/Rack/Stage is now for sale"
- This forum (and others) will lose their effin' minds for one reason or another
- Fun will be had

I see lots of thing’s written and posted about the H90 and I’m sure it’s great but the delays and reverbs on the Kemper are the best I’ve ever heard, and because i bought mine in 2015, I think of them as free 😀
