I use 2 seperate usb drives now for backup. I hit the same problem and had to hardboot the kemper. I re-formatted both usb memory sticks using kempers formatter but still notice the problem on occasion. The waiting dialog seems to be hung up sometimes and the kemper remote turns on and off. In older releases of the kemper OS the copy would take seconds. Im on the latest Full release.

Have any of you noticed when plugging in a USB stick in browse mode that the remote reboots. I'm on the latest full release. I'm not plugged up to a PC just trying to backup the kemper. I tried two different usb's and reformatted the usb using the kemper too.

If you are looking for a certain sound find out what amps and cabs pros use to get that sound, then find out who has that profile and listen to demos of the profile. Check rig exchange first without tweaking any of the settings on the profile. Check out sinmix.pl his profiles are incredible.

I accidentally installed the beta. To install the latest approved is it just a matter of overwriting the beta?

I have the GLXD-14 too..
But use in front of the rack... But I want to save 1U space on the rack so I can consider in put my glx-d14 on the back...Can you take one picture of the back of your rack with the glxd14?
Its not the best pic but you can get the idea. I Velcro it to the bottom of the rack

It might just be me but it seems like the latest kemper update has fixed allot of the performance issues with WAH slow reaction time. I no longer have to move the wah pedal when the kemper starts up now either.

Currently reorganising and shit so here is how it stands atm.
That cab in the background

Cool thing with using a speaker cab and the di is you have two choice to send to the front of house or both for tracking. Its all a matter of taste
-
I say cab. I'm using the same cab that is simulated through the di in the kemper to the front of house. That way I can have my cab and the house monitors. Monitor mixes vary depending on the club so I can always crank my cab as a monitor if need be and not have it affect the front of house volume. But I only use the kemper with a live band not at home. For me 2x12 Cabs sound better with high gain profiles when pushed hard.

(This is a serious suggestion - not a joke)
When comparing tone (etc) settings, make sure they look absolutely identical.
0.0 and +0.0 and -0.0 are not the same exact setting.
Sorry I couldn't help it What about resetting all system settings after making a backup? Copy the backup from the good sounding kemper to the other one after all system settings are reset.

Did you pull the plastic off of the front of the screen

Don't you have any problems with drop signal leaving the GLX-D on the back of the rack with their antenas?
Or will be the same range if the GLX-D is in front or back? The GLX-D is flawless. I've had 0 loss of signal. I'm using the wireless 100% of the time now instead of a cable. The antennas stick out the back of the rack and fold up when I close it up. I can take a picture if you are interested. The signal is the same strength as it would be on the top of the rack or in front. The kemper is really good at not interfering with external devices. I only have one cable running from the kemper to the pedal board (Ethernet) now and couldn't be happier. This is the model that I have https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GLXD14G The battery last 14+ hours and the receiver has a built in charger. If you need to run any external pedals they can fit in the rack and be turned on and off with the effects loop.

Try resetting the system settings.

I ended up putting definition back to 10, removing the rhythm eq and using the btm knobs on the front instead. The eq boosted the volume some making me think it sounded better. Thanks for the reply's!

I had a mesa 4x12 early 90's with blackshadow c90s. The top half was sealed up. I loved that cab but ... the recto 2x12 with v30s sounds so much better to me and disperses in the room better then the 4x12 plus its 45 lbs lighter. The 4x12 was to focused, you had to stand right in front of it and turn up tons of volume. I'm using the studio rhythm eq in one of the stomp slots, I have an xotic ep booster in the rack right before the input and using sinmix friedman profile it sounds amazing. I sold my beloved mesa Mark V to get the kemper but I haven't looked back!

Shure GLX-D in the back of the rack and the kemper remote to control the rig. Mesa 2x12 v30 recto.

Do any of you use the preset Studio EQ "Rhythm" for high gain profiles. I Was playing around with the default studio eq last night taking out low end and tried the rhythm eq in stomp A. It sounds incredible. Do you use it in the X slots or as a stomp out front. I normally use the low pass to take out some unwanted low end but didnt realize there was a rhythm preset under studio eq. Im primarly looking at using this for live playing into a 2x12 cab. I want to make sure im not cutting something in the mix before I use this live.
