Oh that's just terrible, I hope the shipment was insured!

Has there been any resolution to this situation? I am trying to use a Digitech Mosaic in Mono Loop Stomp A, but it sounds better and quieter in front of the KPA as opposed to in the loop.
-
Which loop are you using? Stomp A?
I am having a somewhat similar problem with a Digitech Mosaic. It sounds great in front of the Kemper, but in a mono loop in Stomp A it just sounds noisy and sort of muffled.
-
So the last 3-4 weeks I have been using the Mosaic in Stomp A position, and I have to say it has been a bit underwhelming. The effect sounds slightly muffled, and I hear background hiss while monitoring thru headphones; though in a live situation it probably wouldn't be significant. Anyway, the Mosaic seems to sound clearer and quieter when the signal chain is guitar-->Mosaic-->Kemper as opposed to in the effects loop Stomp A position.
If anyone has any ideas how to make the pedal sound better in the loop, I'm open to suggestions.

That does sound pretty amazing; but likely will still need the Mosaic. I am now experimenting with putting it in the Mono Loop Stomp A position, will definitely be looking forward to trying out the Acoustic Simulator.

Kemper Acoustic simulator is part of one of the next firmware releases.
Does it have a 12-string emulation?
-
The other objection I had to the Mosaic - going from a clean 12-string sound to a lead tone without 12-string required at minimum two button presses - one for the Mosaic, and one for the new KPA lead rig. That's a lot when you're on stage. More dancing than I care to do.
I have the Mosaic as my one and only pedal between my guitar and the Kemper. But with the additional time on my hands lately, I am looking to incorporate it into an effects loop so that I can make it switchable from my Kemper Remote. Would I be correct in assuming that placing the Mosaic in a Mono Effects Loop in the "A" Stomps slot would be the equivalent of my current setup, but then have the advantage of making it switchable from the Remote? Or is there a possibility of degradation of sound quality vs having the guitar plug directly into it?

This is rapidly becoming my only guitar:
Custom (i.e. non-returnable) build from Kiesel, with wiring taken from Charvel Pro-Mod DK 24 HSS- position 3 is neck and south bridge.

This is the hope.
I am confident that your hope will be realized well beyond your expectations...

+1 I am very happy for those who have wanted something like this! I am all set with my Kemper Rack and Remote, and I don't think my back could handle getting down on the floor to program the Stage version. That said, I'll predict that if the Kemper Stage is cheaper than the current price of the Profiler or Rack, we will see a corresponding drop in price of those models.

The remote requires powered Ethernet (IEEE 802.3at) so mic-cables are out of the question.
OK, I stand corrected. Since I am studio-based, I find that the Remote is a little bit superfluous, I may consider selling it.
-
FWIW, I have noticed that happening with my Remote from time to time, but it seems to be related to the Cat5 connector at the back of the Kemper. I have a 3rd party Cat5-XLR connector that is 3m long, because I am using it in the studio. If I wiggle the Cat5 end of the cable, it will turn on. I kinda wish that Kemper had gone with XLR-XLR, because it would be a more secure connection, and you could use any Mic cable under 10m length.
-
I have found that it has happened to me on a couple of occasions. I use a 3rd party 3m Cat5-XLR connector, because I am in a studio. My fix has been to just shut down the Kemper and reboot, it has always re-connected on the second try.

I used CaseSmith Customs for the "amp" case for my Kemper Rack (see pic on the left). They should be able to do up exactly what you need for a reasonable cost.
-
I ended up getting that 10' ethernet cable I mentioned in my last post; it works very well (at least in my studio setting) and it is significantly more flexible than the cable supplied by Kemper.

I just never liked the look of the "toaster," and instead bought the rack and put it in an enclosure. See my pic to the left, it actually looks like an amp head now.

Sorry for reviving this. Can you recommend any (cheapo) 10m cable which is working? The Kemper one is way too long for most of our gigs as well as for rehearsals plus I need ethercon on both ends (patchpanel).
Did you mean 3m? A 10m cable would be longer than the one that came with the Remote, am I correct? I haven't ordered it yet, but I am looking at this:
The one review actually mentioned it as a replacement cable for the Kemper Remote! And if you want the RJ45 connector at both ends, there is this:
All sorts of lengths available.

I also am an intermediate guitar player, primarily a keyboardist. The Kemper has been a godsend- aside the fact that you can try out literally thousands of amps, it also solved my problem of getting great tone at low (or even headphone) volume; my wife who works at home no longer threatens me with divorce or dismemberment. I have tried various software amp sims and they just don't compare, especially for clean tones. I had a tube amp and multiple pedals, and sold pretty much all of them off...
