At NAMM when I asked if they are working on a floor model, it was obvious that they are. I think that's more likely a reason than a Kemper II, perhaps knowing that floor models have a huge appeal and would make rack and head configurations harder to sell. Plus, I think a Kemper II would mean they'd save the new delays and features for that release to incentivize it.
I can see a floor model, sure, but it would be inconvenient to use if you are into constant tweaking. I once asked them at NAMM about a reduced price/feature model that could load profiles but couldn't create them; they didn't see a reason for it, and electronics-wise it wouldn't save much space. I imagine at some point they will come out with a Kemper II, but I don't know how much more it would do than the current models.
What would you people want in a Kemper II?

I have the Mosaic and it does an amazing job, as Ingolf described. If you play a twelve it may not fool you, but in a band context it works extremely well. For those of us without a twelve, it is more than adequate. I have mine between the guitar and the KPA, first in line in a rapidly diminishing pedal board. One trick: I have found playing close to the bridge improves the "jangle," as well as enhances the accuracy of pitch detection and decreases artifacts.

Yes, the Mosaic is special.Yes, I was pretty blown away by this pedal. I bought it from one of those retailers that allow free returns, and was quite amazed by how well it worked. I found that picking back by the bridge enhanced the pitch tracking, so the top B and E strings would chorus without artifact. 70's Genesis, here I come...!

Wow, not even enough space for a regular head plate on the guitar!
Reduce to the max.
Yeah, I have always liked headless guitars. And the Kemper is so good, the pedals will probably go too, save the Mosaic. -
So this is pretty much my entire setup these days:

Sorry to reply to a Zombie thread, but I would also like to see programmable offsets in the tuner so that we can accommodate Feiten Tuning System guitars (I have a couple of Tom Andersons). To actually program it as "Buzz Feiten Tuning System" would require Kemper to pay a fairly steep licensing fee, but the offsets are well-known and can be individually programmed. I have a Sonic Research ST-200 Turbo Tuner (works great, now replaced with the ST-300) that I have programmed with the BFTS. If Kemper could incorporate this, I will be down to two pedals in front of my Kemper rack; as soon as I get the compressor stomp figured out, I'll be down to one- a Digitech Mosaic.

I ordered the case thru http://www.casesmithcustoms.com and had measured it so that it had the standard 3/4" recess in front, and was very slightly recessed in the back. Reed (who built the case) had no problem building it to order- you can have as much or as little space in the back as you want. I had it covered in Black Taurus Tolex with black hardware, so it perfectly matched my Mesa Boogie amp. On the website they make rack mount cases, but if you contact them I imagine they can custom build whatever you need- the upcharge for the size of the case was like $5.
I have to admit I wasn't too enamored with the "Eurotoaster" design, and was very pleased with how this came out:

Recent acquisition! I am in the RTFM stage to try to figure stuff out on my own, before I bother the general population with questions. My wife (who works at home) is almost as thrilled as I am...!
