Arigato!!!

Interesting idea... looking forward to seeing how it pans out...

Just a thought but IMHO programming a software editor is a far cry from building hardware devices... it would probably be best all around if a third party developed it... someone with that specific brand of experience... and if they are above board about everything Kemper might work with them to make sure it is worthy...
-
Search Rt66 or Rt 66 on the Rig Exchange...
-
Steve, if you look in the rig exchange you can find a Profile of my Bogner Helios 100 that I did with my Torpedo Live. I used the Angle Vintage C with the royer 121
Is that still around... I couldn't find it...
Using the Torpedo Live are you going from the Line Out or the Speaker Thru on the Torpedo to the Kemper Return? Imma give this a go mañana...

I've got a Fryette Power Station to play with as well... which is the most transparent attenuator I have ever run across, so it will be interesting trying that with the other options to see what I can come up with. There are just so many variations that can be profiled, so the options are pretty much unlimited. I'm just looking forward to having the reasonable facsimiles that the Kemper offers all in one place to bounce around between. I'm not expecting them to be perfect... but close enough is indeed close enough!
-
Gotcha! So I think the first step is in getting the output tone using the torpedo to be as close as possible to the output tone when NOT using it. Once I have the desired tone for profiling we should be good to go...
Of course that is no doubt easier said than done...
-
Ah cool... I can do the Torpedo Live as well... looks like that may be the way to go!
Thanks!!!

Don't I wish...

I want to get started profiling some of my amps/pedals next week and was wondering which of these (Mesa CabClone vs H&K Redbox vs Torpedo C.A.B.) would be the best for 'silent' profiling. The Condo I live in has pretty strict 'noise' rules and so I have to keep things as quiet as possible and so it looks like DI recording will have to suffice. Anyone have any experience with any of these? Any tips? Anything I should be aware of? Is DI profiling worth the effort or should I find a place where I can make some 'noise'? Will they sound as good as miked amps or is it a waste of time?
Any and all advice would be appreciated!

I've been playing and collecting gear for 45+ years... little here, little there and it adds up!!!
Space is certainly a premium out here... especially for a hoarder like me!!! Luckily my wife's parents have a huge place with plenty of storage.
Really gotta start profiling though... I've had the Kemper for about 3 months, so its time to dive in and stop acting clueless. The best way to learn is by doing... so my little Hotone Amps should be relatively painless to profile. Then I can work on my tweaking and work my way up to the King Snake and then the TRRI with some of these killer pedals in front of it. Quite a few of my other amps (Bluesbreaker, 1974x, Bassman, AC15, BJIII, Champ, Mesa TA15, H&K TM18, Tweaker 15, Tiny Terror, Ceriatone OTS, Blackstar HT-1R, etc.) have all been done... so they will be good to compare with what other folks have done already.
These MBritt profiles have really spoilt me though... kind of tough to compete with genius like that!!!

Nice. Wish I could help you out, but I guess you're far away from Munich?
Yeah, I'm in Japan and wish there was someone who could guide me through the perilous waters of the River Profile.
-
I guess this is a music store amp showroom with all those price tags and not your own amps?
Indeed, while the picture is random the thought is not. I have about 40 assorted amps and while I don't plan on getting rid of any of them any time soon (I haven't even started profiling them yet) they have been getting less and less play time as I spend more and more time with the Kemper and AmpliFire. I don't really feel the need to profile all of them, but I've got a ton of pedals as well that need to be profiled along with the amps (in various combinations) and still need to find a way to do so without driving the neighbors crazy. Got the week off next week and hope to hit the ground running with some profiling... -

Not sure if its been covered (no time to scroll) but with the upgrade I need to unplug my guitar and plug it back into the Kemper before it will work... just turning the unit on like before won't do it. Not really a biggie, but lemme know if this hasn't been addressed and I will dig deeper and submit a support ticket.

The colonial pack is really sweet!!! No problems with the cart here...
-
I still haven't gotten past playing with the Demo Rig packs... endless possibilities come to mind... haven't quite figured out how to create them yet though.
Wondering if you can only morph between parameters or if you can morph one preset into another...
-
Upgrade went without a hitch and morphing is majorly cool!!! Can't wait for the rig exchange to swell up with new ideas for using it... kudos to all involved in this release!!!

I use a Line6 G55 with my Kemper and I just plug the Line6 main outs into the input on the front of the Kemper.
