Good idea. I'll have to get a backup file from the other machine. We did the comparison in December. Kemper had my unit for almost 8 weeks and I just got it back. Still sounds the same. It doesn't look like they tweaked anything settings wise (or opened the case). I installed the new OS too when I got it back. Waiting on details from the service dept on what they exactly did to it.

We tried to make everything the same, went through menus and made mine the same as the other one.

global at 3 I believe,

I can take my Kemper and put it side by side with another one, using the same profiles, monitors and guitars, and mine sounds really flat and inarticulate. I sent it away to Kemper to look at and it comes back the same. Anyone else have a similar issue where they just struggle to get there unit to sound good? I usually resort to EQing the Master and Monitor outputs by rolling off Bass frequencies and boosting Treble, that helps but I still know something is not right the my Kemper.

That's good to know.. Question though.. you mention it's easy and flexible.. 600 solid state watts.. how does that go with a normal (non FRFR) cab, be it a 2x12 or 4x12?? My solid state Matrix amps that I used to have could get loud, but couldn't really move the air, nor did they have a lot depth and soul in my opinion based on my experience. I'm going to be potentially running my powered Kemper into a Mesa 2x12 (120w), and I don't wanna blow the V30s with 600w worth of power from the Kemper.. make sense?!
When I go back down the passive FRFR path again with an FR212 or something along those lines, I'm sure it'll be fine, but right now, I'm planning on using it with a real (non-FRFR) cab..
Does it cut it maestro?!
We did around 5 summer outdoor festivals last summer, I used the Q12 at all but the last. I ran a Splawn 4x12 with Creambacks at that one. The Q12 is rated around 260 watts RMS, and I never felt like I was pushing it at all, plenty of volume and could hear myself fine.

My normal rig is Powerhead into passive Matrix Q12. Sometimes, we are loading into a backline of 4x12 and I'll just turn off Cabs and plug right into the provided 4x12. To me its just easy and flexible. I might pickup one of the new Mission 2x12 cabs from Sweetwater, just to move some more stage air. But between IEMs and wedges, I will never have a problem hearing myself. 600watts can get super loud. Only way I'd advise against a Powerhead is if you already have powered cabs like Atomic, Friedman, DXR10 etc. and you never run into a backline.

So tempted ...

I run my powerhead into a Splawn 4x12 with Creambacks and its super loud. Make sure your Monitor volume is up and linked to your Master Volume. Also maybe your profile amp volumes are down? I have no problem keeping up with my bandmates 100 watt JCM800

I'd like to use a real cab on stage and send FOH the IR version. As I look through RE, I'm not sure how I'd know which are and which aren't merged.

thank you!

How can I unlock an FX slot if I can't remember which profile I was in when I locked it? I can't figure out how to globally unlock this change.

This has become my new best friend. I have set it at -1.9 for all my patches. Takes away what I think is harshness that regular treble and presence miss. Does anyone know what frequencies this effects or how it works?

powered rack with Matrix Q12 passive is working for me.

I have a 50W Atomic Reactor and liked it a lot with my Kemper and Atomic Amplifire. Unfortunately, it is having a tube issue right now and has been out of commission for a bit, while getting fixed. I liked it a ton better than the Tech 21 power engine i had borrowed for a couple of gigs.

is this part of the $15.00 download?

I have this and like it. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GRRackbag3

I played a gig recently with a friends passive Matrix Q12 and my powered Kemper, WOW! Sounded huge, carried my stage volume nicely and had plenty of "feel", which I wasn't getting from my powered Alto TS112A.

Fixed after a reinstall if the OS weird problem
-
Thanks I ended up reinstalling the OS and it allowed me to see the rig options I thought I was going crazy

OK, So when I press "Rig" button, I don't see options that i'm observing in other videos. All I get is a page for " Assign I Assign II Assign III Assign IV" Paging over doesn't do anything. What am I missing?
