I did not like the 1st attempt I made and this time I used 3 pedals to form the tone.
Super Over Drive SD-1w-->
MXR 10 band EQ (modded)-->
Metal Zone MT-2w
Adjust the Power Sagging and Definition to suite your guitar.
Too much bass? Turn up the Definition or Power Sagging.
Too much treble? Turn down the Definition and turn up the Power Sagging. Turning the Definition down increases your low end.
Guitar I used was a Les Paul with JB pickups, tuned to D standard with Ernie Ball 11-54 strings

There was a contest on a new review website and I won. Out of the prizes I selected the Brainworx ENGL E646. This is what I came up with to get the Judas Priest Firepower albums tone. You can cut back the boost and or gain, plus adjust the Low Cut EQ int he X slot.

Short little random metal clip. Edited the studio eq to add some high and low cuts plus cuts at about 420hz and 4000hz.
Will include the edit in the next update.

Mine always blinks red. I never cared because I never use gain <5

What are you thinkin' cuz I think it's dope as it is? Active pups profile?
Sure, buy me a guitar that has active pickups
-
One word... Ballllsssssy!!!
Thanks man! I am still not happy with it though.

I not gonna lie, at first I thought that was going to be just the note ringing the whole time haha!

According to my measurements I lose some of the low end resonance with the conversion process and the low end resonance is what requires a longer IR format which is still in the 200ms-500ms area.
Interesting, I have to look at my new IRs and see. Thanks for pointing it out.
-
Yes, that is what I am saying. Converted cab are not 100 % the same sound - they feel and react different too, compared to the original IR. That's my experience.
If the IR is longer than 1.5 it does not convert correctly. Within that range its 100% accurate after being converted. IRs created using a sine wave do not work because they are too long.
-
when using CONVERTED IR (using cab maker)? The converted profiles will NOT sound 100 % the same to the original IR you are praising - I think you know that?! That makes your whole concept questionable.
What doesnt sound the same? Are you saying the IRs frequency response changes after using the cab maker?
So original IR does not match the converted cab?
-
I know them and you can get a teaser box with 16 IR's for free if you subscribe.
I did not because I do not like this mass of newsletter which fill your mailbox ev'ry day,
All companies are like that now and its extremely annoying! I get spam daily from JST ,Slate and GGD.

I picked up my 2nd Metal Zone and its the new Waza MT-2W version. Here is a killer At The Gates profile I came up with.
Guitar is a Les Paul with JB pickups tuned to B standard. No post FX on the Kemper
New version
