This is a short teaser I made to promote my band.
The audio comes from a Zoom H1 and all guitar sounds are based on Bogner Ecstasy profiles from Guidorist.
On stage I use a RedSound box. -
Yep, I think it's fixed !!!
It is indeed! It took eight months, but it is.
Finally I can use the "new" delays, although not so new anymore. -
Judging from the change log of the last 5.3.0.13018 Public Beta, this may have been resolved.
fixed: correct processing of MIDI controlling changes immediately following a program change
I'll try it this afternoon. Fingers crossed...

I thought you wanted to get a second one...

The Unit was purchased in July 2016, so it’s not even a year old! I purchased it at THOMANN who unfortunately does not carry the unit anymore, even though it is not a discontinued model. I'm therefore sceptical if they can or want to replace or even repair the unit.
I have never experienced such an issue, but it definitely looks like a hardware problem.
As far as I know Thomann offers a standard 3-year warranty, regardless of whether they still carry a product or not.
Since the unit is less than 1 year old it should still be covered by Rocktron's warranty as well.
I suggest you get in touch with Thomann's customer service, they are usually pretty helpful. -
But I think it is simply a single, 12" guitar speaker. Now, perhaps the speaker is relatively "flat" compared to a normal / traditional guitar speaker, but it certainly isn't going to leverage the full advantage of the KPA's cabinet profiles.
[...]
I'm afraid the above assumptions are all wrong or inaccurate at best, as you can see from the specs.
It's definitely not a single speaker guitar cab and cab sims must be on.At the end of the day, if it sounds good, it is good.
Amen.
The best advice I have for @gfex79 is to try a couple of cabs, before deciding which one to get.
I'm personally very happy with the Red Sound (and I'm in very good company), but what sounds good to my ears may sound bad to others. -
But with the red sound cab you keep the cab simulator on or it has to be switched off?
You must keep it on, unless you like the sound of old transistor radios.
-
Thanks ..Does it sound good also at low bedroom volumes?
The passive one surely does (and I'm not aware of any relevant differences with the active one).
Stupid question: wouldn't using headphones be a better solution for bedroom use? -
I have the passive one and I could tear down the building if I wanted to.
-
is the red cab loud enough to rehearse with the band? Does it sound well also at bedroom level?
Do you mean Red Sound? If so, it can cover all your needs, from bedroom level, to rehearsal, to stage level.

Thanks soloist74. I saw the red sound cab (i am italian...;)
It is interesting but some people stated it is not really a frfr speaker as the dxr10...It's a GRFR indeed, which per se doesn't make it better or worse than a FRFR anyway.
-
At first I was using a regular guitar cab, guess I wanted to make the transition gradual.
After a while I started getting the feeling I was missing something in terms of flexibility, not being able to use the cab section.
Plus the only way to send to the board the same sound I was getting from the cab (apart from micing was to use my own profiles, made with that very box.
So I started considering either a GRFR or an FRFR box (having my box on stage is a must have for me).
In the end I opted for a passive Red Sound cab (I have a powered toaster) and have never been happier.
I get the feeling of a real amp on stage, plus the flexibility to use any profile I want and the board gets a signal which is extremely close to what I hear. -
Thanks dude! You rock!
-
I don't think this has high priority, as it only affects third-party controllers.
-
Benvenuto Luca!

Does anybody have news on this issue?
