HI folks . . I got my Kemper Toaster and Remote from Sweetwater last week. It's a demo model. I am wondering about the presets as I saw some MBritt profiles in there and thought they had to be bought separately . So I'm wondering if these presets are not the original install. Also, I've looked into the Delay stomps and can't find delay times of 800ms and 1600ms ( yes for a Brain May type effect). Also, why do we have to use a flash drive to update OS instead of straight into a computer via USB? That does seem odd. Is there some advantage to this? The other thing I've noticed is that presets are not in any type of numerical or bank designation type of order. Yes, I'm used to having a POD, even Fractal uses numbers for patches or rigs. I'm not carping here, just a little befuddled. I don't see any empty slots for building rigs, am I supposed to just over-write an existing one?
I spent the last few days playing through all the presets ( 271 of them I think). Some were great, some very very loud. I am very, very, very impressed by the sound and feel of my Kemper. Playing guitar is fun again. In fact I'm so impressed by the tone of the Kemper that I'm selling my Vox AC15s and already unloaded my POD HD 500x.
What are folks using for power conditioners? It looks like the Mission Sp 1 is the go-to pedal for this unit?
I've gone thru the reference manual and haven't seen ( or may have missed ) the answers to what I've asked here, so I beg your indulgence.
