HI folks . . I got my Kemper Toaster and Remote from Sweetwater last week. It's a demo model. I am wondering about the presets as I saw some MBritt profiles in there and thought they had to be bought separately . So I'm wondering if these presets are not the original install. Also, I've looked into the Delay stomps and can't find delay times of 800ms and 1600ms ( yes for a Brain May type effect). Also, why do we have to use a flash drive to update OS instead of straight into a computer via USB? That does seem odd. Is there some advantage to this? The other thing I've noticed is that presets are not in any type of numerical or bank designation type of order. Yes, I'm used to having a POD, even Fractal uses numbers for patches or rigs. I'm not carping here, just a little befuddled. I don't see any empty slots for building rigs, am I supposed to just over-write an existing one?

I spent the last few days playing through all the presets ( 271 of them I think). Some were great, some very very loud. I am very, very, very impressed by the sound and feel of my Kemper. Playing guitar is fun again. :D In fact I'm so impressed by the tone of the Kemper that I'm selling my Vox AC15s and already unloaded my POD HD 500x.

What are folks using for power conditioners? It looks like the Mission Sp 1 is the go-to pedal for this unit?

I've gone thru the reference manual and haven't seen ( or may have missed ) the answers to what I've asked here, so I beg your indulgence.

That would be correct . . . it's a Mexi Roland ready Strat I've had for about 14 years now. I love it. I also have a Brian May Red Special and a John Lennon Epi Casino, plus an older Line 6 Variax 700 hardtail. The Strat is my fave and has been for along time. But when I was trying to come up with a screen name for here I drew a blank . . . .

Hi folks . .I just got my Kemper & Remote on Thursday and HOLY SMOKES the tones coming out of that thing! I have to admit my ears have been PODized for a few years so I'm on a pink cloud at the moment. I could never get anything close to what I've heard from my Kemper out of my POD ( which has been sold ). I haven't gone thru the Reference Manual yet so I have some bedtime reading to do. I am also waiting for the fractal AX8 and have spent time on the forums over there. There is some grumbling by a few guys about its CPU usage and folks hitting a wall with it .I don't think I'll get it just because I picked the Kemper for its ease of use, not having to be tethered to a computer to do any editing like the Ax FX. I'm not knocking the quality and attention that Cliff puts into his stuff but I am so impressed with Christophe's unit and how intuitive it is, plus all those profiles that are available . I'm playing my Toaster thru a pair of Yamaha DBR 10s and a Behringer 12" Eurolive sub and it sounds so full and punchy. I anticipate using some outboard pedals with it in front and in the FX send/return.

It's nice to be here and I look forward to picking all your brains about the Kemper and Remote. :D
