It is super helpful when you want to get some feedback when you are playing light gain or semi clean. I really like it.
It is definitely worth picking up.

This has turned out to be a very interesting discussion. I have a light touch and the heavy frets benefit me well, but I am clumsy on the jumbos. I guess that is why I could never get along with a scalloped neck lol.
@MonkeyMan, hope your hand improves, I hurt mine years ago and it just about stopped me from playing completely, I was very lucky.
Heavy frets are stainless steels that are .110" wide and 054" high in measurement. They are similar to the 6100 fret which has the same measurements body wise as the heavy but the profile has a slight triangular shape while the 6100 is normally round. They are kinda glassy in feel to me as well.
Cheers
Never had the chance to do extra jumbo but that idea sounds interesting!
I have Jumbo and Heavy Fret guitars. Honestly, I don't feel that much a difference when bending with different frets. I do feel it when putting pressure on chording though and I can feel a difference between them at that point. When it comes to bending, string pressure gets me more than frets. Heavy frets allow me more accuracy when hitting the higher frets. Jumbos remind me of the scalloped neck guitars and sometimes crowd each other at 21-24. I have medium sized hands so that may be the reason.
Cheers!
Thank you SO MUCH!!!!! Really enjoyed these
Steve did have a blue strat if I remember. Either way, a beautiful sound!
I lost track a while ago after 123 amps (some with variations) from a lot of different sites.... I may have a problem...
Someone get that man a Bogner and Friedman stat!!
DS, would love to see you guys do an XTC or a 20th XTC. That Hagan and Soldano really jumped out at me. Great work guys!
They sound incredible! Thank you!!!
I will be greatly interested to hear how the Headrush turns out, be sure to let us know.
Right there with you on those points. The choke out is what stopped me from buying the AX8 as a backup incase the Kemper had to go into the shop for a fix. The FX8 is not bad on CPU, but it also can choke out depending on the type of Reverb quality (but no amps with that one). I have to admit though I like the Headrush and what it is offering, but I got burned by the 11 rack support in the past so I am hesitant. Not sure which way it is supported now since it uses 11's code.
If they can do with Reverbs what they did with the Delays it will be worth the wait.
I use a FX8 4cm with my Kemper and I have never been happier (both effects work great with each other).... Yep, I'm an effect whore and proud of it!
Such good stuff to work with! Now, bring on the reverbs and my life will be complete!
The statement above sums up what the Kemper did for me. I now enjoy playing the guitar again rather than trying to find what I don't like about the amp and trying to find the "next big thing".
Having this pedal reminds me of when I had a Jackson PC1, miss that guitar BAD, but love that the pedal can get close to it.
