This confuses me also, I always go the wrong way. I think it should be a setting.

Yes, this is exactly what I do. Just turn off the cab emulation for the monitor output only. Don't turn it off using the global, front panel button. Go into the output menu and turn it off there. From the output menu, you can then fine tune the EQ of both mains and monitor and store them as presets. Very easy, very effective, very cool.
works for me..same set up...sounds great.

Thanks you..

Hello there and welcome

Never know, there might be something of interest in the Anderson’s video when it posts.
let’s hope so.

Strange. I swear it's not photoshopped, despite the weird off-center positioning of the word "maintenance". It's still showing that screen over here, by the way.
clear your internet cache and try again?

Welcome..
http://mbritt.com/kemper-profiles/ is a good start there is a metal/heavy/modern and 5150 packs plus a number of high gain boutique ones also.
There are a number of other commercial ones so try the commercial thread for links. I’m sure there are many quality free ones also...happy hunting.

It really is, for me at least. Hang on, I'll upload a screenshot...
Edit: this is what I'm seeing.[Blocked Image: https://i.imgur.com/gayPa9L.png]
Weird that you're not seeing that screen.
all still working in the UK

well, that is odd. I guess I am old - what the hell is the finger on the nose supposed to mean? I have a boogie hanging out?
It’s an old gesture (well in the uk)

Deej09...
Are you asking me, bro? If so, yes… Two days after I got the powered KPA, six months ago, I learned about the monitor off setting,
Thank you though,
Keith
By the way, if you don’t mind me asking, what kind / style of music do you play?Hi @SQUAREHEAD is was more to the OP but anyone that would find it useful really. We are all on the same journey

Also have you done this (sorry if this was covered earlier in the thread)

Just a thought have you tried messing around with settings in the stack section, even small tweaks to say definition, pick attack or power sagging has helped in a number of profiles I have tried. I have most of M Britts profiles plus many from Tonejunkie TV, Mattfig, TAF, Top Jimmy, Calilab and Guidorist plus many more and some are not as good as others, but on the whole I have accumulated a great number of lovely tones including a few profiles of my own. It’s worth spending on some commercial ones, that are no more than the price of a coffee from well known chain, just to compare?
I have a powered rack running through a 2x12 Victory cab (vintage 30’s) and I’m getting great sounds live. FOH sounds are even better and always consistent.
I hope the guys struggling manage to find the tones they are looking for, but for me the kemper is the best investment I’ve made in guitar gear.
