"Professor Vicarious" was the nickname Miles Davis gave to John Scofield, he called Mike Stern "Fat Time".

Welcome Sir

It's a "Tree Of Life" inlay.

I recently visited a drummer who did over 60 live tracks with me.
He gave me this Alvarez 5056 with case. It's almost 50 years old and sounds like a Martin D-35.
These guitars were built to compete with Martin and they got really damn close.

I can't tell Hamburg from Texas, Well Played Sir

I encouraged collaborations like this over 7 years ago. A few tried but it's about trust in your players.
Trusting a players instincts I think is how you get the best performance out of them.
Too much instruction can kill a performance. Southdakota trusted us to react to his music.

I joked with Nate that I was the only one who had the balls to set foot in the studio with Gary Long.
The "Invincible" track I drove to the studio to experience the room and it was well worth the trip.
This song "The Waiting" I tracked Bass at my home studio on a digital recorder.
All of us worked out of our own studios. Gary connected all of us to Nate's project.
I would love to live track some day with these guys, they make you want to play at your best.

Our fellow Kemper Kamper Southdakota was kind enough to invite me to play on his record.
It was cool as could be be to play with these guys and I hope for their success in all things music.
I used a Spector Dimension 5 bass and a profile of an amp called the MPF Room One Amp on the exchange.
It's a 1 watt amp with 20 watt 10" speaker. I would have murdered it had I used the real amp.
Thanks again Nate for the work, let's do it again.
