I don't like the static button assignments. That and the price. I got one in a package deal, but offed it really quickly because of those two factors. Of course; I wasn't a fan of performance mode the first time around so who knows

So, long story kept long; I run my guitar synth rig alongside my Kemper. Whatever I am using goes in the loop (which is post-stack). I run it into the FX return and engage the loop with my expression pedal. So FOH is either getting guitar OR guitar synth in my channel.
I have a Fishman Triple Play (FTP). Great device but I have been going back and forth with what synths to run with it. It's wireless and is super convenient in comparison to the 13 pin offerings. I don't want to have a laptop based rig and I don't want to run softsynths on my Ipad (after a fairly disasterous first outing with it). You can drive a hardware synth (sound module or traditional keyboard) with the FTP, but you need either the Fishman foot controller (which I do not have room for on my board) or a midi usb host to bridge the FTP receiver and hardware synth. So I picked up these guys on Amazon yesterday:

^Sound module with built in USB host. Sounds are general midi and as such, ok. Rechargable battery and small form factor is a huge plus. I am giving this one a go and living with it for a bit before I think bigger.I got this guy as well:

With any luck; I can use it to connect to hardware synths at a fraction of the costs of the other options on the market. It was like ~$60 versus the $160ish for the foot controller or the other $125-$150ish range on other midi usb hosts. I am going to experiment with this a bit using it to connect to the sound module via midi as well as drive my failing Roland keyboard. Of course; these options are all just temporary till Christoph implements the upcoming synth block -
That would be my Gibson Flying V Pro T 2016
I bought it second hand.[Blocked Image: https://ampiretones.com/gibv.jpg]
You can never go wrong with the purchase of a Flying V \m/
I've went through a bunch of stuff this year. My favorite being, well; powered toaster, my Shure GLXD16 wireless (second time's a charm) and my neo 2x12 cabinet. I can't pick just one!

also; what profiles are you using?
-
Is it the vintage 30s perhaps?
-
Do you have a soundman who knows what he's doing? This isn't your problem. It's his. Unless you're the soundman

Agree with Nikos! almost all profiles i have downloaded are muddy and wooly for my singlecoils, and both clairity and defination can make a dull profile sound good and make saturation more natural. Its an instructional video on youtube who realy show this! dont remember what the name on the video was! think it was a linke here!!?

Midi thru port on one Kemper and a midi controller sending program changes should work. You will have to assign patches to corresponding PCs on each Kemper obviously.

Well the author of the post said he is using two xlr cables and the channels of the mixing desk are panned hard left and hard right.
The pictures show something different! Also; haven't read every reply but not sure what power amp boost pic purpose is as that has nothing to do with the desired connection scenario.

I miss the cables going out of the Kemper.
Important to see.[Blocked Image: https://www.imgdumper.nl/uploads9/5a3bd891283a2/5a3bd891233e3-Kemper_back.jpg]

I think I got them all

I based my Helix VS. Kemper on sound alone. The Helix has a metric ton of cool features and bells and whistles; but if I can't get the tone where I want it to be; who cares? Kemper all day everday. I will echo my statements from TGP that a HelixFX (especially with updated verbs) would be AMAZING in conjunction with the Kemper as outboard FX and midi controller. The Helix drives are great and most of the other fx are good as well. I just don't like the amp modeling (and probably more specifically; their cab block as a whole). I don't like the way the Helix handles the cab portion. Whether it is included cabs or external IRs. There is a muddiness and a bluntness to it I found. I will leave the usual "user error" disclaimer in place, but that was my experience twice with the Helix.

Shure GLXD16. My standard reply to this question. Excellent unit with an awesome onboard tuner. Best thing ever imo.

X infinity on this thread suggestion.
It was the first thing I noticed with the remote and was what made me send it packing almost immediately. I'll stick with my 3rd party solution until this becomes a reality. For that much money (even on the used market); static control assignments are just not something I am willing to accept at that price point.

It can be frustrating at first, but it will become familiar quickly.
As stated above, there is no "slot 1" on the Kemper. You determine the order the profiles are displayed, via the left knob. One fantastic sort/filter is the favorites. Mark the ones you want to access quickly as a favorite, and use the filter of favorite.
There is a whole other world in the performance mode. But I won't overwhelm you at this point. Become familiar with the above first.
Favorites mode is my, well; Favorite Really great way to navigate your Kemper in browse mode when you have a trillion profiles loaded on it Also; take note of "Replace" and "Store as" functions when saving in browse mode.

Given Mr. Kemper's synthesizer background; it seems like a complete no brainer. I could be wrong. I gigged this weekend with my FTP/Ipad combo and had a bunch of random difficulties with it. An integrated synth block would have been a life saver

Cranked this profile up through my 2x12 last night at practice. My gosh it sounded nice. Though a ton of profiles sound nice on the Kemper. I really don't get it when a fan of digital gear says they can't find any worthwhile profiles for the Kemper. There are endless amounts of great stuff available, even in styles/gain levels I don't use.
-
To me, my Katana 100 head sounds louder than the Kemper. If we are being honest. I have no need to get to those volume levels though so I haven't tried to up the ante on the Kemper side at practice. Just no need for it. I could see if you were in a stoner rock band or something where it might be a concern.

You are very kind, Sir, thank you. I come from a third world country, my family was persecuted and exploited there with Western backing or silence that made them complicit. People hear "Arvind Jayaram" put there and think, "haha, joke," imma watch the video. I assure you, Sir, I am not, and all I have is my good name to defend after all the gucking shit. Clips to follow, thank you for trying my profile.
Might be the language barrier but absolutely did not mean to imply anything with my comment? Just giving some props for a job well done! Keep it up! \m/

When you are in the output setting menu; you will see the various volumes listed onscreen. Turn the knob that gives you more volume out of the cab. Also; there is a power amp boost parameter that you can crank up a bit. The output section is kind of not as straightforward as some might like, imo. Just play with it a bit till you get the results. You should be able to get plenty of volume.
