piotrmaj yes I know. My comment still stands.

I've seen a lot of trouble with this beta release. I'd advise anyone to not download beta releases for any type of software, you're just asking for trouble!

I justified buying a Kemper because I'm a bedroom (metal) player. The simplest setup is guitar > Kemper > headphones.
I have an audio interface also to record, in that case it goes guitar > Kemper > audio interface > PC with headphones connected to the interface.
I don't use monitors but would like to. Plenty others here can advise on that but you can connect monitors directly to the Kemper or if recording to the interface.
As for effects the Kemper is fully stocked with delays, reverbs, distortions/overdrives, wahs and other modulations but it's entirely possible to use external effects if you want to.

They have said we won't get that option. I'm using symlinks to get around it.

It seems we have different problems after all. Two inputs monitoring the same signal sounds like a good place to keep looking. Thanks, I'll stop hijacking your thread now AdamMassacre1981

Soooo just went to make recordings to compare both. Fired up Reaper and the sound was fine...!? Closed Reaper, opened Ableton and sound was fine as usual. Closed Ableton, opened Reaper and the sound was awful again... So I recorded a riff and when I played it back it was......fine....?! I'm confused now lol...

Yea, sounds like we have the exact same problem alright. I'm thinking it has to be something with the input settings on the DAW. The odd thing for me though is it sounds great through Ableton and then garbage through Reaper with Reaper on a new install (as in never installed on that PC, not just reinstalled). Going to have a proper dig at it tonight and over the weekend, I'll post back with results.

You can reprogram any button on the remote to do what you want, it's all in the main manual.

I havn't listened to your samples (at work) but your discription of a phasey sound its exactly how I'd describe a problem I'm having at the moment and I've traced it to Reaper. Using Ableton Live it sounds fine, using no DAW at all and it sounds fine, headphones direct from Kemper is fine but as soon as Reaper is opened it sounds like muck - bad digital modeling from years ago with a phasey sound. I've actually been meaning to make a post on the Reaper forums about it but havn't got around to recording clips.
I've tried on a laptop and a much more powerful desktop with a clean install and have the same problem each time. From Googling all I've found is there may be Fx on the input but in my case there isn't. As it happens on a clean install I'm thinking I've the Reaper input settings wrong but Reaper is pretty straightforward. I need to do more digging regardless.
All that to say I don't have a solution for you, but at least know you're not alone

Thanks for the updates! I had a similar issue myself and ended up just plugging the expression pedal out.

Any rumors on 7.5?

Sure you don't have it on strobe? I find it near impossible to keep it steady on strobe it's far too sensitive. Bubble is fine.

Little confused here, what does the treb booster have to do with it? I don't see a treb booster in the ac20 profile.

M Britt was the first commercial profiles I bought, the heavy pack and I was completly disapointed. TBH the only profiles of heavy amps I've liked and continue to use are from (dare I say his name) Sinmix.

Nice, picking up the Diezel and Plexy packs. Nice low end which I find a lot of profiles are missing.

You're saying it's only when you strike a string but I could hear that before any note..? At work so can't get the headset any higher so maybe I'm missing it.
