Think I'm going to crack and buy a Cabinet. I'm a bedroom player via headphones but really want to hear without. I was pondering what Awesome_Elvis is saying about a 4x12 also but I think that's me losing the run of myself.

Seeing as you can only connect the Kemper to the PC directly using USB what paults said stands.
-
Cheers, will give it a try when I get home.

I really want to but I'm questioning how much I'd actually use it. I'm mainly a bedroom player and play with headphones so never get that amp in the room feel but then again how much will I use it over the headphones.
-
Cheers, will check it out later!

Chainsaw pack sounds absoutly girthy.

That's a lot of dirt.

Just wondering RE the title. Mainly interested in overdrive and compression but open to any and all suggestions. I'm aware the answer is probably "all of them" but wondering if there is significant differences between say the green scream and an actual tube screamer for example.

Can someone buy it and post a profile please?
-
Took a break from playing for a few years and now returning. I've always found (high gain - 5150, mesa trip rec etc.) profiles to be lacking that big punch I was looking for. It's hard to describe but a (again, slight) lack of body or "fatness". Last night I was messing with the compressor and it seems to help a lot with this missing element. I can't remember what setting I was changing, intensity perhaps as it sounds like I was doing what's mentioned in the manual:
"the nice trick of compressing the guitar to the max, then gently driving it just into the distortion of the amplifier, so that every tone of the guitar gets the same decent amount of distortion"

Audio-Technica ATH-M50x do the job for me.

632 merged profiles in the high gain pack?
-
When you adjust the gain on the Kemper it's not the same as adjusting the gain on the actual amp. Same with bass, mid and treb etc. So you get multiple profiles of the same amp with different settings so you can stay as close to the original as possible.
-
Heard the trem-o-verb last night on the facebook group and it sounded meaty. Pity you don't sell the amps separate at 20 a pop or something. I'd definitely go for that.
-
Begs the question - Aren't the original profiles sold legit basically piracy also? Look at music piracy. You take the original, make a copy and distribute it. Basically what a Kemper does.

Yes I'm saving after auto-assigning and on the latest public release.

So I have a few stomps assigned, I can see their lights on the remote but they won't turn on or off. They turn on or off fine on the head and the lights change on the remote as they should. The remote just isn't turning them on or off?
Edit - it seems it only does this when auto assigning the stomps, another bug it seems.
