I realized I never posted my Kemper inspired Zilla 2x12 on the forum.
I like this cab so much I sold my Mesa OS 4x12.
It really helped me pick out the good tones from the bad.

Thanks Ash! That is the best compliment I have gotten ever.
I could use a beer =)
I couldn't find many samples of the Lasse Lammert Diezel VH4 profile and decided to make a quick one myself.
I start guitar lessons on Thursday...
Great Danny!
Please do try the new 006 attached to the OP if you can and let me know how it compares to the originals.
Ahh, I didn't see that one. I like the 004 the best. It did give a tighter more open feel (dynamics felt more like a real amp).
In my opinion, a "Read the manual" is generally a very acceptable response on an online forum as one would assume anyone reading the forum would also be able to read a few pages of the manual as well. Typically most people are too lazy to reference the manual. In my case, it is usually that manuals don't have enough details.
Sorry about your disability @schreckmusic . My sister has the same situation.
I saved these into my profiler. They are very articulate. I need some time to record with them and really crank them up and do some A/Bing, but so far the results are excellent.
This pack is wonderful. If I had to only get one pack this is the one. It is a little expensive, but worth it.
There are some great tones in this bundle. The JCM800 is top notch. Great cleans.
Video review coming soon!
well my tests are not accurate because I was turning the cab off in the Kemper and running an IR plugin. I had no idea that turning the cab off activated some cab algorithm.
Hmmm. Here is what I did:
1) play and record Kemper direct profile (no cab) in my DAW
2) Tonematch a studio guitar track
3) Create an IR using pure impulse of the tonematch. (44.1k .5s, normalized)
4) Load IR with cab emulator (sounds exactly like the tonematch)
5) Use CabMaker to convert 44.1k .5s IR to Kemper format
6) Import Cab IR.
.. sounds smashed or overloaded. Nothing like the stand-alone IR. I can do a walk through example soon.
I got so frustrated that I stopped trying to figure it out.
Test anyone who sells IRs that includes the converted Kemper cabs. I bet they do not match. The Rosen ones I bought do not.
I am using the JST Conquer All Vol 2.2 Zilla cab and they sound good. Now I am going to have to A/B the Kemper one vs. loading it in my DAW.
44.1k and .5s. I will try it again with 1.5s.
I did Deconvolver and Andrew Wades Pure Impulse.
I deactivate the cabinet, recorded a single track with only amplifier on. Then I did tone matching on reference tone and save the new IR and I converted it with cab maker and then imported on kemper. If I record a new track with the kemper and the new cabinet and compare it with the tone matched track is different.
This is what I am doing as well.
So, converting the IR to a Kemper cab isn't accurate due to the CabDriver? Sounds like there needs to be a cabdriver on/off option in the cab module.
Thanks Danny!Glad they work for you.
I'm constantly evolving and always looking to make them even better!
I'd love to try some more of these out. PM me! Thanks Deadpan.
Nice! I love your profiles!
I recently experienced this as well. I have made some perfect tone matches that work great until I try to do the cab maker conversion.
44.1 24bit. I will have to try upping the time to 1.5 seconds. =/

There you go.
The producer probably got this guitar tone from POD Farm, Kemper, or Axe-Fx. Or a Kemper profile of an Axe-Fx patch is getting very common as well.
Thanks! Same thing, so I tested it in Logic and it works fine. I think my Cubase session was in 44.1 and the file didn't down sample.
I don't think that Pure Impulse file is good any longer. There is no audio data in the file.
Project Badass... I like it.
I would have to hear it in the context of a mix. If I had to grab one - my first choice would be Amp 1 with the 2X12 (Celestion).
I also liked Amp 2 with the 4X12 (Celestion).
Quad track them and blend! =)
Cabs are just EQ curves, so I usually just find the profile I like and then go through cabs until I find one that sits best in the mix.
