Hey all,
What is the exact process to Lock and basically save my stompbox/mod/delay/verb signal chain, using said chain in another amp/rig?
-
@DrZ Amplification You guys rock. Thanks so much. I have always been a big proponent of your amps and have owned a few myself. Great to see you guys getting ahead of the curve and embracing tech.
-
I want a Kemper MKII (floorboard version, preferably) with the ability to run two amps in tandem.
Yes, I know this is not possible as an update to the current iteration. It's 5 years old, doesn't have the specs and tech to support it, yada yada yada.
All I'm saying is that I want to be able to run a Matchless Chieftain and Dumble at the same time.
K thanks.
-
Agreed. Kemper as a company has the cash to purchase one.
-
I would like for the next iteration of the KPA Remote to have a few loops, so that the user could add external stomps.
And yes, I am aware of a few of the difficulties of this. I am merely saying that it would be welcomed and awesome.

@Michael_dk and @Monkey_Man thanks for the advice guys, will do!
-
Good news - none of these things matter. Especially if you close-mic the cabinet, the profile does not include any room acoustics.
@paults Thanks for the input man. Ok, so, gear aside, a studio has no advantage other than the ability to hear the mic'd amp through different variations and combinations of mics and mic positions?
-
I have the gear required to profile (mics, mixer, interface, software, Kemper, guitars, pedals, amps etc.).
I do not have a studio, nor do I have the budget to rent one.
What sort of room/space/environment does one need to create high-quality profiles, if they do not have a studio? I'm wondering about sound-absorbing wall pads, carpet vs hardwood, room acoustics... that sort of thing.
Many thanks,
DC -
+1, agreed. I would like spring reverb as well. Actually, a revamp of all Reverbs and Overdrive/Distortion stomps, all in OS 6 would be great. K Thanks
-
100% agree with @Gary_W. Spot on, mate. I use Kemper for live use and likely wouldn't use an editor to the extent that many would. However, who am I to say that Kemper shouldn't release an editor? Seems like a ton of users would appreciate one.
I say bring it on!

Thank for the precious information:
one question : 2 two cable you use for the connection are jack 1/4 TS (standard) or TRS (stereo)You will need 1 TRS connection for expression and 1 TS connection for the switch, or two TRS cables. I use the latter, as it was simpler to buy from the online vendor I chose.
-
Totally agree with @Ingolf. If I may add to that..
I'm sure you have a ballpark idea of the amps/tones that you're covering. When you pick those 1-3 Rigs, perhaps base them off of the rigs that the covered bands use? Pretty sure BB has used a lot of Randalls in the past.. Weezer uses Matchless Independance amps in conjunction with a couple Marshalls. It's been a while since I've listened to those bands... man I loved them both!
-
I think the Remote needs a bigger screen display. I can see everything well as it stands. It's just a #firstworldproblem.
-
I have zero experience with these, but EHX's .44 Magnum is an affordable unit. I have no idea how it sounds or stacks up in comparison. YouTube makes it sound alright.
-
@Javlin7, is that a AA battery charger I see?
-
You betcha bud! Plug your headphones into the headphone out on the KPA. Run a cable from your computer out (headphone) into the KPA alternate inputs (it's a dual-mono 1/4" y-split at the kemper end). Adjust the auxiliary volume in the output menu of the kemper, them rock out
-
Let's face it. If you own a Kemper, you're likely a gear nut and you probably like seeing pictures. New owners, like myself, also want to see how you're setting up your floor controller to get ideas.
There's a "Post Your Rig" thread in the main forum but I have a lot of friends (non-owners) that want to see how others use 3rd party pedals and controllers.
Here's mine. I sold all my pedals

@Nodean, welcome brother! I recieved my KPA last week and was wondering the same thing. I downloaded 5.1.1 right off the bat and everything worked awesome. Just a USB stick and a common USB cable for Rig Manager 2.0 (printer-style) and you're good to go mate! Good luck
