I’ve always been in the "nay" camp as I believe there is enough natural room sound in the venue already. But I am curious to hear other people’s views, and I could be swayed to try something different.

Is the whistle still present if you turn off the amp block in the Kemper?

Kemper Kabinet, or Powered Kabinet

Just had a look at the manual and realised that you can choose to mute (or not) the tuner. Mine is set to mute as it's handy for live tuning, or swapping guitars.
So it may be worth checking that setting before rolling back your FW.
-
I don't believe that my Kemper ever had the ability to listen to rigs in tuner mode. I just use the tuning lights when I'm in browse or performance mode.
And yes you can roll back to a previous FW version if you have a copy.

Deleted [apologies I mis-read the OP]

Kabinet is great

I have most of the BHP packs and they're all very good. This pack unexpectedly became one of my favourites for those 80's modded Marshall style tones https://bighairyprofiles.com/p…ing-henning-bottle-rocket

Is there any upgrade path for existing owners of the Quick Spawn pack?

Not working for me either

Samples are usually the drummers domain which makes sense given they set time and count in songs live etc. Why would you want samples to be brought in by the guitarist instead?
-
Both modes are more accurate than I need and the strobe mode is good enough to use for intonation too.
However I don't often use the remote in the house so I tend to just use the tuner lights on the device that are always active in every mode to avoid needing to get up and turn the dial.

Isn't that covered by the existing lock functionality?
-
Flying Snowman have a Blackmore profile pack using a Marshall Major that sounds great in the clips (don't they all!). I'm sure you can Google the link as easily as I can.

I seem to remember way back that Tom Scholz told everyone exactly how he got his sound for Boston.
People lost their minds saying “A magician never reveals his secrets..”Tom Scoltz had good reason to share as he used the the Rockman that he invented and sold. It is also interesting how much more sharing Edward Van Halen did once he had Peavey, and then EVH products to sell.

Seriously. Let’s not go down the “why do you need that, when i don’t?” route.
Maybe he needs a little more stage oomph in that song.Maybe he plays venues where the increased stage volume will be enough.
Maybe the band needs to hear him better in that song.
All perfectly good reasons. The fact of the matter is that the OP wants a solution.
Starting with "why" often gets to a better "how" which is why I originally asked. An ask of "I need to do [insert super important stage volume only need here], how can I do that with the Kemper?" may have lead to more, or different solution ideas.

Why do you need the on stage volume up but not the front of house / PA volume for that one song? And why doesn't your guitar just get washed out in the audience mix?
-
Don't you just lock the block and then assign it to a footswitch to use it like a pedal? It's been a while since I played live or used performance mode so apologies for the vague response.

Simple solution but why not get the bass player to cover the other part?
