Hi,
I have no stage myself but a rack version.
I always found the build quality off the turning knobs quite fragile, it all feels plastic. They never failed on me tough.
Is there anyone out there with a Stage who can tell what the build quality of the knobs are on the Stage?
Maybe someone who already has a toaster or rack can do this comparison.
Just wondering because it's lying on the floor and if it's just plastic it's easy to break one off I think........

I've got the EMG 57/66 combo and it's said it's the active humbuckerfeel having the passive PAF-ish sound.
But then, if there are so many variations of the PAF sound, what are the characteristics of the PAF sound in general? -

Thsi is why I use a different profile which is eq'ed in a differnet way. When I boost for riffs I change eq as well as volume, via morph, so with ya on that!
I don't even use a different profile or rig. I just morph the EQ to more mids (with morph time of 0 secs, so instantly).
This way I can have a rhythm and lead sound in 1 preset and still able to switch stomps on/off.
And this times five for one bank. This makes the Kemper Footswitch so powerful to me. -
I never change volumes to switch between rhythm and solo but change EQ instead (more mid, less high/low).
It makes it sound sound louder but actually cuts better through the mix.
Maybe that's worth trying in your case as well... -
Not my style but sounds great!
May I ask how you did the drums? All programmed I guess, which plugin/s did you use?
Thanks!
Yes they are programmed indeed, we used Addictive Drums but any drum plugin will do of course ...

This is the album teaser of our upcoming album (CD will be available next week).
Interesting thing is that we never entered a studio for recording.
The entire album was recorded behind a PC at home and the Kemper was used for guitars and bass.
That's how it can be done these days (partial thanks to Kemper).
We've never done it this way before, I'm happy with the result.

I've used them both intensively and to be honest, I think the Digitech Drop is better, it sounds more natural for at least up to 3 steps down.
If you go further both sound unnatural.
But it also depends a lot on how you use it. For fast riffs for example the latency will be an issue the further you go down ..... -
I couldn't resist stopping by the Kemper office in Recklinghausen on my way back home from a holiday in Austria (we were passing by close).
My son took this picture for me.
No expensive huge building, but just simple on the third floor in an shared office building.
I guess it's just the office not the assembly location.
Been there... done that[Blocked Image: http://www.zakhooi.net/kemper.jpg]

Today we released the first video 'State Of Decay' of our upcoming album 'From Dust To Dust'.
It's symphonic death metal.
The entire album is was recorded just with a DAW and Kemper for guitars and bass.

Sounds definitely 80's, well done!
Makes me think of the tune of that series 'Night Heat' (not 'In The Heat Of The Night')External Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. That worked! Didn't know about that setting and I don't understand why that changed without touching it.
Thanks!

Sounds cool. Which profile did you use?

Hi,
I don't know what happened or cause this change, it worked fine before but somehow my USB keyboard is using the wrong layout.
All the alfanumeric keys are ok, but for instance the hyphen ('-') produces a letter 's' and all the characters (shift + number) are mixed up.
It looks like it's a keyboard setting, but I didn't change anything.Does anyone know how to change the keyboard layout?
Please let me know.THanks in advance.

I play mostly in D-tuning or Drop-C.
For me D'Addario 'Heavy Bottom, Light Top' (EXL-140) works the best to have the low bottom of some metal riffing but also the light higher strings for soloing.
