Had a BluGuitar Amp1 ... have great memories but never used it after owning the KPA. Might have been a nice power amp for the KPA as well.

Sorry for reviving this. Can you recommend any (cheapo) 10m cable which is working? The Kemper one is way too long for most of our gigs as well as for rehearsals plus I need ethercon on both ends (patchpanel).
-
If still available, please send me a PM.

The KPA sounds good with my studio headphones but very raspy with my IEM with mid to high gain profiles.
I depends on your headphones. Or do you have fat guitars if you listen to music through these devices?
-
I don't get it. Just use ambient mics maybe even in stereo if you use stereo IEM. If all of you use IEM feedbacks won't be a problem.
-
So I am at least not alone. I mean it's possible to play for sure but the sound is very low quality.

Hi,
I use Shure 215 In Ear Headphones and a Fischer Amps Bodypack. My FoH sound is great - as well as the recorded audio at the live gigs. But my IEM sound is graspy and lacks natural distortion as well as harmonic sounds. It is okay for clean profiles and with my studio headphones which I use to tweak the profiles they sound great. It is just about the In Ear Headphones combined with mid / high gain profiles... anyone having the same issues or even a solution?
Thanks in advance!

Even if I'm not with you at each and every point I always appreciate(d) your passion for sound and this device.
People like you combined with an open ear at the developers side help products (the KPA) getting better.
I'm very glad to hear you decided to come back to this forum and made peace with all of the unneccessary comments blowing at you.
Keep your attitude and stay objective and polite, as you did the whole time. Do not change yourself because of some trolls. I think this thread shows the appreciation for your work and time, even how valuable your feedback is for the developers. These trolls do not get that your research makes their device better ... but they will never understand. Just keep doing what you did.

I guess he's referencing the refinement step

@Tritium I use the StudioEQ stomp - so the original profile is still there. Nevertheless, I got the original profiles done and other ones which are named blablabla w/ FX.
In fact, for live purposes my sounds do not vary this much.

For me profiling my amp(s) worked great. Problem is, I EQ'd the profiles to death and voiced it deeply to my main stage guitar including Compressors and Wahs etc. In result the profile(s) of my amp(s) now sound nothing like my amp but fits better in the mix as my amp would have ever done ... so what, for me it's a tool which makes a lot of things easier. It's another "amp" with lots of possibilities for me.
It is what it is. And worth every penny when bought used. I think you can get a better sound of a real amp. When everyone (engineer, you, ...) and everything (gear, PA) fits. This is not the case in 95% of the occasions in my experience.
For reamping and home-guitar-tracking as well as live performances (regarding flexibility and usability) it's unbeaten imo.

There's this mic from a quite famous company which is Beta for years now. Just sayin'.

Yes, like mute main outs without muting monitor out for example.
-
Give external switches / Remote unit the possibility to mute the output (e.g. for switching guitars).
-
Bug: On the Remote, if the Rig Name is too long, the new displayed time and the rig name overlap.
Probably only if the Remote is started with this particular rig.
-
Nevertheless: a global volume boost would be helpful in some cases.

Can't you use the "Lock" function?
