Looks like Pack 3, @ashtweth
Fried AHole
I didn't know that Michael or LiveReady had Brown Eye packs. Good to know!
Sounds great! Has some nice snarl, without sounding harsh.
I'll have to grab that after work. Thanks for sharing!
I play modern country could use something with a little hair on it,, Thanks
I thought that Mattfig's Lonestar profiles had some sounds that would be really good for country.
I tested out the Triple Rectos you posted, and the only thing I don't like is that there appears to a noise gate in block A of all patches but one cranked up to 6.6. In addition to this, the regular noise gate knob is up to 7.7. Turning off block A and turning down the knob makes all of them sound great.
Only from curiosity: two weeks ago I made some profiles of my DIY BE100 modded Marshall 1959 SLP.
I´m curios (because i´m new to making own profiles) what you would say - so maybe someone would test them and give me some feedback...External Content soundcloud.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. All four of them sounded really good with an EMG 81.
Well, why not? We all do it for fun and I'm sure that all of us who make profiles and people who buy them are life time tone chasers! Better that than to use drugs and shit
Amen to that!
It's funny because the kemper costs a lot and yet people love bargain profiles, hehe.
Very true. The price of the Kemper is what kept me from buying it, for the longest time. If the profiles were significantly more expensive, I would have just boughr a couple, and been happy. I'm very prone to making impulse buys when things seem like a good deal, though.
Two great profile makers exchanging profiles really brought a smile to my face.
A poor man's Soldano, a poor man's pack, but a good amp and a good pack. Thanks a lot, Dan.
It also had a poor man's price tag =) I already got my money's worth out of that pack! Heh.
@ashtweth, I'm on the same path to having too many profiles. I'd still rather pay a few bucks for something I'm going to use for a long time, though, than blow it on a movie ticket or a video game, that I'll only get a few hours out of, though.
I'm just trying to limit myself to only getting things that are really good deals, now, since I basically profiles from at least one maker for everything I really wanted. Other than that, I'll probably go back for some Fenders, at some point, if I can find some that sound good with Les Pauls. However, if I could only have the profiles I currently have for the next several years, I'd still be satisfied.
I wasnt saying the Alto is a bad idea, more like the opposite. a back up amplifier for that much that isnt likely to get used in other ways I dont thinks is great idea. A powered frfr could be used a million ways. Lots of positive reviews for the Alto around but i have no experience.
Yah. I was thinking the same thing. Plus, carrying the Alto as a backup would probably be easier than a power amp and a cab.
That's really what I was looking for, @ashtweth. All those guys you mentioned make top quality profiles. I ended up starting with Bert and Matt's. I will probably end up grabbing more, though -- especially if I can get some good deals.
Hahaha! @ashtweth
sounds like a lot of dough to spend for a temp solution unless you can get use out of it other ways like the alto idea
Yah, but it would also give me a backup of everything except for a foot controller (using a HD500x). I'm thinking that the Alto may be more versatile, and may not require me to tweak as much, going between FRFR (the XiTone) and a PA speaker, than going FRFR to cab. I've never used anything made by Alto though, so I'm a little hesitant.
Hey guys!
I'm using Cililab MK5 profile..

That sounds great!
Thanks. You are cranking out the "too good to pass up" deals this week!
Now, I'm really wondering if the Alto TS212 may be a better idea. That way, I could use it to play along to backing tracks, in my living room.
