Picture of the whole thing please?

Hm maybe. In practice it might be different. For instance: https://www.lewitt-audio.com/b…%20for%20your%20interface.

Select DI as the output source for the output that you want to use to send the signal to your computer.
You will always have to expect a certain amount of latency when you try to use plug-ins in realtime because you have to activate the software monitoring option to monitor the processed signal.
No Asio Driver will change that.
It won't eliminate it, but would you agree that in general ASIO drivers allow for smaller latency?
-
Not familiar with the KPP specifically but if you can set the output of the Kemper to DI. You might not be able to avoid the delay until we get ASIO drivers, but try lowering the buffer.
-
I'm unsure why you think that, and I don't believe it is true. It may be true for you, but certainly not for 99% of users.
This is important when you deal with audio:
- buy decent hardware
- understand how to meet bandwidth requirements on a USB bus
- don't tweak the OS just because some random YouTuber thinks he found another holy grail
Where can I read more about this bandwidth thingy? My Apollo Twin USB has been 99% fantastic. I just can't get low latency without crackles. (apart from dsp effects of course)

Please take the time Kemper to make good drivers. So few companies do that.

Just wondering. Does the Player have the concept of selecting amp blocks (not tone/gain stacks) from other rigs like the bigger units have? Or can it use amp block presets?
-
What he is saying is that you absolutely can add any rig from RM to your player.

With a USB to MIDI DIN cable (but the same thing happens join the 2 with a USB A to B cable…)
Keep this in mind also when troubleshooting. If the same thing indeed happens in an even simpler setup.
-
Could sound like a faulty/too low quality midi adaptor? How is it powered?

Which I do exactly the same way, see my post above. Nevertheless I do not have the phenomenon you describe. If I record DI/Stack on two tracks and then reamp the DI track with the exact profile I get exactly the same "wet" track. And if the latency compensation did the job well they are so well aligned that they eliminate each other if I flip the phase of one "wet" track. Silence then. Perfect for me.
So what goes wrong where?
Not sure. I might try again. It's been a while since I gave up on it. I can also reamp using USB now on my stage.
-
Yeah, good point - because that one will NOT be aligned in time with the reamped ones
Which is actually a bit wierd. I patched in the Kemper as an outboard effect in Cubase, and Cubase measured the latency and compensated (as it does). Still it sounded wierd.
Also noted that if I record DI/Stack in Cubase over spdif on two different tracks, then the DI is DELAYED in relation to the stack. It's wierd.

Any chance you can do Liquid DI profile of that amp?
By “classic v-shape” do you mean
bass 10
mid 5
treble 10
?
Hehe old profiles
But still good apparently.
He is referring to the 5 band graphic EQ I'm sure.
-
Hm not exactly sure what you are asking? Kemper is not a VST, but you can do analog or USB reamp from a DAW.
-
Luna is free in case you use a Mac. Not available on windows unfortunately. I love my Apollo Twin. Really dig the (almost) zero latency monitoring and committing during recording with unison plug-ins. Feels like having outboard gear. I would buy one with both spdif in and out. However those are expensive.
-
Hehe ok. 3rd time's the charme

Try right-clicking on the amp block (as an example) in RM. Do you get a lock option?
