Well, I for one enjoyed the subject here. Nothing to add though.

+1. Or some other way to meet that need.
-
And as John Petrucci says: "The ideal guitar sound is a little ugly."
-
Totally understand why you cannot get any usable sounds with the Kemper native plugin. Makes sense!
(hint: there is no such thing).
Can you describe what you are using again?
-
You are most likely hearing the sound of the string directly as well. Try with headphones.

Great playing, sounds monstrous!
Hi Nicolaj,
great playing man!
Thanks both - Please like and subscribe (as they say in YouTube land). But perhaps leave that notification bell alone. Who needs more notifications these days.
-
Very-entertaining, Nikolaj; well done, mate.
Technical question:
After the tapping sequence at the start of the lead break, it sounds like you used mini-dives from 3:18->3:20 but there's no whammy bar on the geetar.
Did you slide those notes? If so, my ears are playing tricks on me.
Thanks buddy :). The solo is played on my 80's Kramer but the Floyd has been blocked for a few decades (might change that soon btw.). These are slides! Got my inspiration for these "slide into the same note from below" slides from Rick Graham. Great way to change position as well.

Very cool, thanks for sharing. Great synchronisation of video footage and actual playing. Good stuff, nice song and well done
May I ask how many guitar tracks are on the audio of this and with which profiles?
Thanks for the kind words. For the rhythm parts it's two panned (almost) left/right. Solo's just one. I don't remember which profiles - just checked the Cubase project and I didn't yet get into the habit of noting it down. I suspect it's Guidorist JVM410 for rhythm and a boosted 808 Pink Taco for leads. Needed the lead to have over the top sustain for this kind of attitude.

Hi friends,
Did a rehearsal recording (plus the occasional smoke :)) the other day as a video for our Drones of Prey single:

It's a classic :). Some debug code got released by mistake. You need to reset this in the settings.
-
Yes please!
-
Why not just use windows defender? It's free and considered pretty good. Thanks for the heads up though

Is there a way to bypass an A/D converter using spdif to USB? That would be great if there was.
Yes. By using spdif you avoid one AD conversion.
-
Hm not so convenient for one hand use. I would like to see a sensitivity setting in the settings. Try dialing in a precise highcut. It seems much harder than it needs to be.
Also feel like there is some accelerationen? Would like to get rid of that as well.

When I do a merge, da and studio profile set the studio and merged sound very similar while the da and the merged with the cab off do not sound that similar. For this reason I prefer to use DA profiles.
That sounds weird. So you are saying that the merge function affects the amp part as well?
-
The Hi z input is for connecting instruments directly. Which is not what you do. Record your DI from the Kemper using the analog TR sockets in the back or spdif.
-
Yeah amazing stuff. Loved everything about it.

Not sure if this is the right forum, but after having had discussions with SQUAREHEAD it appeared to me, that it could be quite valuable to know which cab, DI profiles are dialed in with. My current Rivera 4x12 cab doesn't seem to work great with DI profiles in general, so I was thinking of switching to a V30 cabinet that's more widely used for DI profiles.
Perhaps the profiles could chime in here with what they use? I have profiles from Cili, Nick and Reampzone, but I'm sure others would be interested as well.
I suspect OS Mesa, and Zilla cabs are used a lot?

Well. You cannot really load them. But you can convert them into something the kpa can use. Which I assume is some rough approximation of the frequency response. Judging by the limited size of a Kemper rig compared to an impulse response.
