Down grading to firmware 7.1.2 did not help my Stage:
In fact, now it appears to be making this noise all the time.
Are you going from your Guitar to the Stage or your signal is passing all your pedalboard?
I just went back to 7.1.2 thats it, no clock issues
I think it might be fixed for me after installing 7.1.4.
For me, the clock error would display on every boot even with Stage plugged into the mains.
After updating to 7.1.4, I filmed this video:
I booted it with the usb connected to it and my mac: no error
I booted it with usb disconnected: no error
I unplugged and replugged into the mains: no error.
When you unplug AC cord, wait 4 or 5 seconds till power led button goes off and try again pls
firmware on the KPA can not damage the hardware in any way
I'll send you a link for 7.1.4.SVN15448 per PM
to all others: if you're interested in testing out that version as well, please drop me a message.
Hi, bad news, clock error persist but I found something interesting in 188.8.131.5248B
We already know that the Stage when we push and hold Power button to shutdown the unit, it keeps the power button led on, it means that the standby mode is ON right? Then if we turn it on; the clock keeps the right setup and no error appears, however if we unplug AC cord from the unit while this is in standby mode (after push and hold power button) the power button led keeps ON for 2 seconds and then it goes off... it means that the shutdown routine is complete, is it right? Then, If we plug the AC cord again the power button led goes ON (it means that the standby mode is ready right?), so we push that button and the unit starts boot routine, then Clock error appears....
let me tell you something: if you unplug the AC cord while the unit is ON and working and then you plug it again; the unit starts boot routine automatically (without pushing power button) and guess what? In this scenario the clock error does not appears, boot routine is faster and the unit keeps the clock information... what’s it means? This way I skip the standby función/block code and the unit works Well... pls check shutdown and standby code, the bug is there... (cross fingers)
There is a new firmware version on it's way. This new version mainly has a fix for Stages which don't start up at all (which was reproduce-able with a RMA unit over here) This version could also fix the date/clock problems (which still isn't reproduce-able here). I'll check with support and ask where and when the version is available in the pipe-line.
Hi, is there any chance to challenge/face an electrical damage due the problems whic comes up on 7.1.3 and the "software" powering up function? Could you please provide 7.1.2 kaos file? I want to go back one step.
When I plug the AC cord on my Stage; Effect IIII led blinks one time, looks like these leds are hitted by energy passing thru the software power switch, I'm just thinking loud wishing it is only related to software and not with hardware compromised
what is the exact version you got from support? (7.1.x.zzzzz ?)
Hi kpahuitsing could you tell us why you are not able to replicate the issue? Why some Leds are flashing when we plug ac cord to the unit? Are different hardware versions of stage around the world? Could 7.1.3 and power switch design hurt our devices? thanks for your detailed answer
Hey Kemper aficionados, I think it would be a great idea to put all the commercial profilers on a single list. I don't think it has been done yet and I don't know why, but since many think that commercial profiles are the way to go, why not write them down here and let people find them easily. The list is not 100% complete, so feel free to add comment and I'll add them.

Mine was working properly since August, it started showing up this message 1 day after the 7.1.3 upgrade... the 2nd or 3rd. time I turned it on.
Hope they deal with this asap, I'm sure it is a 7.1.3 related
Just send a support request.
If Stage remains connected to power grid, date and time settings are retained when power is cycled.
If Stage is disconnected from power grip (unplug, or like I do, flip a master power switch, the power light turns off), date and time settings are lost when powering on.
I also downgraded to 7.1.2 and it works ok in this regard.
Upgraded again to 7.1.3 and date/time gets lost again.
FW issue I reckon.
Hi, It means that is related to 7.1.3 last change, same to me, good testing.
Unfortunately still can't reproduce the phenomenon over here. There are a couple of units on their way to us which supposedly showing the error consistently; we will analyze the problem using those units.
kpahuitsing Let me tell you that I received my new Stage last friday pre installed with 184.108.40.20618, it was not presenting Clock error setup message (i boot and reboot the unit a couple of times), then I just update it to 7.1.3 2 days ago, I just use my stage for some minutes and turn it off... then, yesterday I just turn it on and the message appears... did some reboots and the message doesn't appear again till I did a new reboots round unplugging the power cable... then the error messagge shows up again... Looks like this is related to this change on 7.1.3 "
I'm IT Enginner so I can understand you a bit, take a look, I could help you, just let me know how...
