It would nice if we got just a hint at why no updates from Kemper. We would like updates even if new hardware is about to be released .

No issues on RM beta 2 on os 10.15.2 on an iMac 27 inch 5k 2017.

Same here
It would help the Kemper team if you indicated what computer you have os 10.15.1 and 10.15.2 installed on. Is it an iMac, Macbook pro, Mac Mini, hackintosh? That could explain why some people have no problems with RM beta using Catalina (10.15).

It will be at NAMM 2020.

As you know Guitar players are very conservative. They use tube amps since decades.
And Guitars made in the 1950s.

Kemper still hasn’t released all of the hardware shown at NAMM 2019. Why on earth would they announce brand new hardware never shown at NAMM 2020? The editor at NAMM, yes. A new head or rack, no.
-
I am sure that if Kemper could do it all over again Kemper would not have announced the editor at Namm 2019. It would have prevented all of these release date posts. Kemper should have just waited until it was done and released it without any notice.

Here is mine...Kemper, Helix, and Axe-FX III:
-
The secret to getting the editor faster is to buy more Kemper products so that Kemper can hire more programmers. Buying does not include buying a used head, rack, or stage, as Kemper makes no money from used purchases.

Regardless of how the KPA sounds, it is time for a hardware update. No where else would someone defend an aging piece of technology. None of you would buy a computer that was more than five years old and pay full price. When you buy a new computer you want the fastest cpu and memory you can afford. The KPA needs more memory for profile storage and more I/O ports for routing flexibility. The Axe-fx III is an attempt to address advancing technology, similar to the Helix. As great as the KPA sounds, the hardware R&D is old. I trust that notwithstanding Kemper’s failure to even announce something new at NAMM that Kemper is spending funds on R&D for a modern KPA, instead of trying to find parts and memory for an aging device. At some point recognition has to be given to modern tech. And for those that believe that the KPA cannot be improved, ask anybody whether their Windows Vista computer is state of the art.

The whole KPA vs Axe-fx II or Axe-fx III reminds me of the PS4 vs Xbox One arguments. If you have already bought the KPA then why not buy the Axe-fx III to increase your tonal options. It really does not have to be one versus the other. I love my KPA rack but I am on the wait list for the AXE-fx III. If and when Kemper comes out with a new rack I will get that too.

Look at this way. Since Kemper did not annouce Kemper II or a floorboard, the value of our existing Kempers did not decline. As for a software update or an editor, the fact that neither was announced does not impact valuation, as the profiler continues to operate great as ever. But if you can’t wait until new verbs are announced or an editor is finished, sell now and regret it later...
