I operated a t-shirt screen printing company for years in my younger years. I'm open to official offers from Kemper to create a line of swag. ?

I'll add another Tom Anderson vote. Perfection and you can get whatever you want.

Welcome to the club finally!

Very cool! Would be great if Kemper offered some shirts/ guitar straps/gig towels/etc

I think if you want to try it, using it in front of the KPA will really let you sculpt the whole sound more, because you're affecting how the amp front end gets driven.
I doubt you'll need it though. The amp has more than enough tone shaping options.
-
In addition to your tube amp I'd record the KPA dry on a track and the effects to another stereo track. You can blend the effects as needed and might just find that the KPA sits better in the mix for some parts.

I vote for stick it in front and enjoy the amazing tone! I've had the same epiphany - a great distortion box before the input sounds awesome.

Are you plugging the headphones straight into the front of the Kemper? If not it might be that your speakers and your headphones are getting different signals from your audio interface.
When I first started recording I had the guitar signal assigned to my headphones twice in my audio interface and recording software, causing a phasing sound. Once I figured that out it sounded really good.
Also likely is the headphones. My best ones sound better than my speakers, but my inexpensive ones sound thin and terrible.

That's a different spelling of the word "sorry" than I'm used to.
Glad you're all sorted!

Always bring new material to the band.
This is it for me. I learn or write new material to keep the passion.

A bit of panning and EQ is how I normally avoid the tonal sandwich effect.
This is why I dislike mono PA setups. Not because I want wide, sweeping soundscapes, but to give a bit of space for each part.
-
I’m pretty sure if you did the same video but just out A and B without showing which was which most of us wouldn’t be able to tell the profile from the real amp.
I'd take up the challenge. I don't think one is better than the other, but I think I can pick the right one unless it's in the metal domain which I don't know.

I use it all the time. You need an expression pedal assigned to pitch. It dive bombs the pitch to zero.
The way I use it is the reverse. I put it toe- down, hit a note, and quickly bring it up to pitch by rocking the pedal back. I want album credits if I hear it.

I make all of my performance tweaks on the actual appliance rather than RM now and no issues. Pain to edit titles, but everything stays where I put it.

It could be that the real amps have a bit more lower mid presence I guess. Looking forward to your next test. ?

If it's going to cost significant money to fix I'd go for a stereo power amp so you can run stereo guitar cabs without a PA or powered speakers.

Nice work!
I hear the same thing with every comparison. The tube amps seem to have less top end.
I noticed the same thing when I swapped back and forth between my Bogner and the KPA profile of the same amp and settings (plugged into the speakers of the Bogner).

I think I might try this out this weekend so I can make a conscious decision on which one is better when the official beta is released. It looks like you've nailed it!
Thanks for all of your work on this!
