You can download rigs from Rig Exchange that have effects set up or get settings recommendations here on the forum to try (eg: there's a great wah thread). If you want to save the effect just press Store with the effect in edit mode and you get the option to store just the effect or the whole rig. Name them logically so you can add them to other rigs easily.
Don't get confused with profiles that were created with distortion pedals - those are part of the profile, not an effect.

Basically you can send the Master stereo out to the mixer and also feed a stereo signal to a pair of powered speakers (FRFR or guitar), or a sub-mix.
-
Can somebody please shortly explain the stereo monitor out?
Can I use the monitor out as stereo? Thought that this is a mono socket? The Monitor and Direct outs will act like a stereo pair (if set to).

Awesome stuff!

If you weren't on the most current OS but you are now I wouldn't be surprised if the problem is solved.
I'd also triple check the cables if you continue to have trouble. I've had a pretty bad run with the less expensive Planet Waves cables in the last few years.

Yep - 3 expression pedals and everything has a bright LCD strip that displays what the switch or pedal is currently assigned to.
-
Never mind - I get it now. Stomps and Profiles are totally different beasts.
-
In case you are not aware: Overdrive and distortion stomp boxes can be profiled today either standalone or in combination with a tube amplifier. Actually, some of our Factory Profiles included stomp boxes.
You mean I can do a direct profile of a distortion stomp-box and save that as a Stomp in KPA?

You can also assign them both to the same remote button, but in different states, so the button turns one off and the other on, but you lose the ability to turn both off or both on from the remote.

Aristides Custom 070
Wow, very nice! What's that liked to play? Must feel and sound pretty different to a typical electric with their super cool design and construction. How do you like it?

This looks more like the actual colour.

Thanks! The neck is quartersawn rosewood and the body is 100 year old Ponderosa pine from an old farm trough in Washington State. It was put together by a local luthier in Washington and brought to NZ.
Just over 7 pounds even with the RW and locking tuners.

This is very admirable, but a USB based editor would be ideal.
I thought I had read long ago, the reason there is no USB editor, is that it may expose the IP, or the proprietary design of the KPA, if an editor were implemented over USB. Is this nonsensical hearsay?I suspect that's just a guess by someone, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't true to some degree. As soon as they de-couple the code from the hardware they'll increase the risk of reverse engineering.

Last summer was full of gigs - I apparently missed you.
Um.....er.....WELCOME!Cheers mate! I've learned a bunch from you!

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Wish I could help.

Nope. I just ordered, freaked out for several weeks, then it arrived. The Mission pedal arrived way sooner than the rest, so I had a false hope moment at that point.
I hope it's not too much longer. Hope this helps:

In addition to the cab managing, another great plus for me would be the ability to configure the Performance Banks directly from the Rig Manager. Basically just pre-listening to the sounds in the RM and then plonking them in the approriate slot of a Performance Bank.
You can just drag and drop rigs into Performance Slots in Rig Manager. Click Window-->New to open up another RM window so you can drag and drop between locations.

If you don't have a dedicated sound engineer remember that as you turn up to stage levels the mids will start to get overwhelmed by the treble and bass and you need to compensate.
Same thing applies to tube amps but you don't notice because the amp is right there.
