One thing is for certain. Talking about the lack of an editor makes it worse, not better in my limited experience.

I had no idea this was even a problem. I'll pull my old tuner off the bench. Thanks for the heads up.

You want an adjustable global boost function that effects only profiles that you designate as "Lead" patches?

The Kemper really did sound fantastic though and this was only a tiny issue. I'm still buzzing after 4 hours of fun.
The Helix was having it's maiden voyage, so no fair comparison, but the Bogner Shiva profile was pretty close. Plus he has a nice new Variax guitar as well, so the complexity is still overwhelming between the two and getting consistent volume across the huge palette is tricky. It sounded really good though and with some time to tweak it and some better IRs he'll have it nailed.

The room was really warm and humid in case that's significant.

So went to a jam tonight, full PA setup in stereo. KPA sounded great but...
It got all crackly and lost volume between songs 3 times and I had to reboot each time.
Edit: It was a dying cable. Sorry about that.

I'd like to be able to subscribe to the Announcements forum so I get a notification when topics are added or changed. Is that possible?

The most crucial parameters for the Kemper reverb for me are "bandwidth" and "frequency" in that order. I haven't met a reverb that doesn't get muddy when applying more reverb mix Except for the Kemper reverb where narrowing the Bandwidth buy moving Bandwidth clock wise saves you from having to eq the reverb and amazingly clears the mud while retaining ambiance and reverb color. I wish every reverb has that parameter and I hope Kemper will keep a similar parameter in any future update.Without "bandwidth", the reverb is unusable for me.
I think I'm going to try this tonight. Thanks.

Worth re-stating that you should tweak your EQ at live venue levels, due to the Fletcher Munson effect. Otherwise you'll bump the bass and treble, then get blasted with them at the PA. The sound engineer will probably know about and adjust your EQ at the desk for this.
You can create different EQ presets based on how loud you'll be playing if that varies much.

Is he a Nigerian prince by chance?

My rig is dead simple:
Guitar---Vocal Processor (harmony reference)----KPA----L/R main outputs (either phone or XLR) into the mixer.
-
You just need to play one for a while to know that it's still cutting edge sound quality and amp feel.
-
Just like software, I believe you buy the non-transferable right to use the software. So selling profiles you've bought is not right to me, except maybe if you include them in a KPA unit you're selling and you don't keep copies.
This is bleeding edge stuff though, so there'll be exploitation. I imagine the file sharing and stolen games/apps/music pirate crowd have full access to any profiles they want.

I have had a KPA since early 2014. I love the way that profiling sounds. But the KPA is losing ground rapidly to Fractal with the FX 3 and Line 6 with the Helix.
My patience is dwindling. If Kemper does not do an upgrade soon, I am going to check out the FX 3.
Somebody better tell Steve Lukather that his alternative to his twin Bogner rig is inferior.

I thought when you have something plugged into the front input that the KPA disables the alternate input, no?

This thread started on Mar 27th 2015. By now, if everyone learned one thing a week on the unit itself, they'd be gurus, without a need for an editor.. It's a "nice to have". Definitely not a necessity.
No amount of learning/practice will make my arms longer or fix my back.
I tweak a lot less than I used to, so it's not that big a deal.

I think an editor requires integration of the embedded platform functionality and the desktop platform.
-
My crystal ball tells me that my Kemper setup will sound amazing up until Musikmesse 2018 and will remain so afterward.
I also expect that we'll be regularly bestowed with cool new and improved features. I'm also gonna lose it if I don't get a free t-shirt soon.

The ad for a developer includes (translated):
"Your tasks
Further development and care our platform-independent software framework for embedded and desktop applications"Hardly subtle clue I reckon.

Fractal users also have product obsolescence to worry about due to the hardware changing, so they need more info about the plan so they know when to sell and upgrade.
