GRIM68, I also suggest once you know the ICEPOWER part number, if it is no longer manufactured, a suitable replacement may work from the link paults suggested. You will need to verify if the original unit also included the power module. I believe it may have, but verify. Best regards

Since it's out of warranty, why not open it up and located the model number of the Class D module. Am convinced it is an ICEPOWER module from Bang Olusfen. If you contact B&O or a distributor after you have identified the part number, they may likely have a drop-in replacement where the footprint and external connections should work.

For many years this simple metronome has worked well for my use. BPM indicator, audible, visible or both. Kemper optional, and less manipulation of the Kemper. Done. ymmv.

Thank you!

ST,
Thank you for the links. I'm sure many of us here will find your list valuable.

This is good info. Thanks all for the research.

Sometimes less load in/out is a good thing.

Isn't the toaster power amp also an ICEPower module? Either way I agree w/ ST. contact Kemper Support. The 35V rated electrolytics indicate the issue is most likely is not in the power amp section.

My Kemper Power Rack is out of warranty, but being the repair guy I am. I would 1st consult with Kemper before deciding to open it up and clean out any moisture or residue. Kemper has always strived to provide good support, so consulting with them would be my first choice.

FWIW, I have been using dense foam along with a single velco strap located in the middle of the remote for about 3 years now w/o any issues. It fits nicely on the back cover of my 4U SKB short rack.

I wouldn't do a world tour with this but the toaster fits tight on it's back with a little padding under it. (Bubble Wrap Works)
Put padding over the knobs facing up and close the top.
Cables,3 expression pedals in the bottom section and the remote on angle just clears the top tool box.
No friction or pressure on the gear. Hauls Ass Too!
Don't tell anybody you use this for music, then the Carpenters couldn't afford it after they jack the price. And it's got wheels and a handle. thanks Muddy!

Ruefus, Thanks for the pics and details. I'm sure this will inspire a few of us to a DIY power cab as well.

Thank you Sir, these are another set of gems.

I don't understand the need for a full range kone for bass? A standard tuned 4 string bass ranges from a low E to a D# at the 21st fret on the G string. That's only a frequency range of 41 to 311 Hz.
Have you considered an Electrovoice TL606 cab?

The tap tempo LED is not an issue from my perspective. For myself and most players it's not required or ever used for live performances. If needed for practicing/timing, I simply use a metronome.
The Kemper has been and will continue to be wonderful and versatile tool for inspiration, learning and performing. However relying on it and any other gear as a do it all is not the best approach.
