Yeah, reset may be a good idea, because these monitors should give you very good results.

Must admit I went a little crazy buyin profiles when I first got my Kemper.
I now have a solid collection that covers many genres. I still browse through RE and try new ones all the time....but I always keep informed of new commercial rig packs coming out. -
So many free and commercial profiles out there. I have a lot of M. Britt's stuff, but also have many user profiles from RE in my favorites.
Combinations of the type of guitar, playing style (talent), monitors/cab, audio interface, etc..all affect the overall tone.
A profile may sound like crap when I play it, but hand my guitar over to another player and he can make it sound like freakin' heaven. Not all profiles are good, of course, but just find the ones that you enjoy playing, that inspire you, and make music.

Personally, I'll be using the analogue ins and outs only, and I will be reamping. I believe that any differences will be so-subtle (and indiscernible) as to be irrelevant.
Using analog I/O's and reamp as well.

This for me is key. I've never heard this organic-sounding, natural-and-naturally-responsive sound and performance from any other piece of digital kit for guitar. The Kemper's awesome for bass too IMHO.
Amen.......!

As great as the Kemper is, I felt bottom line it was an overkill for my bedroom playing. I wasn't using it in a way to justify the cost of it.
At some point I decided it has to go. Of course I'd love to keep it, but the rationale to keep it was simply not there.
Big thanks to you guys once again.
I also use mine only in my basement home studio.
Expensive? Yes, kinda.
Overkill? If you only play one style of music and mainly use one or two amps, yeah maybe.
Personally, since I got mine, I play more, I play better, my recordings sound 100 times better than with any amp sim of mic'ed amp in my studio
and I have the ability of dialing in almost any amp. This, for me, justifies the $$$.
But, hey, bottom line is keep playin...gear is secondary. -
Merci et Bienvenue!

Welcome!

I mainly use mine for recording as well. I don't use it via SPDIF (except for reamping) and still get awesome results.
A lot of major recording studios own a Kemper, which would be pointless if great recordings could ne be achieved. -
Audio Technica MT 50 or
Yamaha MT5+1 for AT MT-50

Welcome my son....welcome to the machine.....

I wonder if the UI to MIDI is the forebear to a future feature....
I was just thinkin' about this too..........

As far as boot time, mine takes about a minute.
Not sure if the user data content (profiles) affects boot sequence...Can't help you with the other issues, sorry.

In the Rig Manager, you can drag and drop profiles in and out of your KPA from and to local folders on your computer.

Awesome work!
Already added a bunch in my Favorites.
Thanks so much! -
"Thats me in the corner" (almost)
+1

Should work just fine.
I use a Dunlop http://www.musiciansfriend.com…unlop-dvp1xl-volume-pedal and I love it. -
I am guessing that less than 5% of KPA owners use their own profiles they have created…
I am really just guessing right now…I really think this is a fair estimate.

Welcome, Patrick!

They all sound good for sure.
But take 100 different BE-100 KPA profiles and they will each have their own vibe.
Check out Tim Pierce's video profiling his amps and the Kemper sounds soooooo damn close to his amps.I know it's through YouTube, but IMHO, this one wasn't close at all.
