Using the analog jacks is a lot easier and always works. More than likely you're not going to hear any difference. My rig is more stable when the interface is the clock source. YMMV
im thinking in using analog cables... im getting nut

i watched this video 500 times more or less. but thank you
the focusrite controller i use is different
do you have 2 cables connected to the SPDIF I/O?
I have no experience with the Focusrite software or your DAW but you need to route the recorded DI track to the SPDIF output of your interface.
Many of our customers use reamping over SPDIF every day. Once you have mastered how to configure your DAW and Interface it is very easy to use.
Hi! yes, i have 2 spdif cables in/out out/in
i dont know what is wrong now...
-Changed in INPUT SOURCE to Spdif Input reamp
-In reaper in master track routing i select numer 6, then in focusrite controller added software daw playback numer 6 too..
-create a loop and try to change the amp during th dy track, but nothing happens....
Any idea?
thank you all
Now the spdif dont worf... fine...
Hating kemper reamping set up in 3,2,
Great! Just be aware of the fact that software monitoring introduces some latency to the signal you're hearing from the Kemper. This can make it difficult to record spot on to the beat. It would be better to monitor the Kemper via different speakers or to look if your interface is capable of direct monitoring.
AaHi,
I think my interface Focusrite 6i6 has the direct monitoring optio... Know inhave fear of changing setuo for the last part of reamping....
Then you have to enable some kind of software monitoring in your DAW.
Now seems the first part of reamping works... spdif works, i can record 2 signal ( clean adn dist) , i can ear me while recording, i can ear recording.....
pufff,
The fact that you can receive the signal but not hear it must have to do with the routing in your DAW. The PROFILER obviously works fine.
Differences in level can be adjusted by the clean sens setting in the input menu and by adjusting the rig volume, amp volume etc.
USolved, i had to choose CUSTOM MIX in the focusrite controller....
thank you so much for your help , my head its gonnna explote
Are your monitors connected to the interface or to the Kemper?
Check Cleans Sens within the input menu.
The monitors are connected to the interface.
if you still do not get any signal make sure that you have selected the correct inputs in your DAW track and that the sampling rate matches between the DAW and the Profiler. The default sampling rate is 44,1 khz.
Im going to try, i had the sampling at 48 khz
Yeah! now the reaper see the signal! but i dont ear it
The focusrite controller also see the spdif signal
Now i can record without earing it while playing. The distorsion track sounds lower than the clean
did you set your interface to be the clock slave? This is crucial to use the PROFILER Head in a digital environment.
There are no settings to be made in the Profiler for this because the Head will automatically be the clock master but you need to make these settings in the control software of your audio interface.
Are you telling me in Focusrite Control / Clock source / select S/pdif ?
i´ve done
Im getting nut
i cant send the signal to the daw....
also i cant ear a video you tube at same time i hear the guitar...
I just bought new cables... still dont works... try to setup the focusrite control properly...
It needs to be an S/PDIF cable in the first place. Yours is an audio cable, not an S/PDIF one.
ohhhh, ok, thank you my head is gonna explote!
I use the toaster,
I though all the spdif cable were the same... the cable is digital....
I thing the set up its ok except the clock, i didnt touch anything about it
It has to be more things included the clock...
The analogic cable seems to work...
I just bought this spdif cable

I use a scarlett 6i6 2 gen, i followed all the internet tutos and i getting nut....
maybe is these cable simply dont work?
Thank you
