    Hi,

So on my KP remote pedal 4 & 5 inputs i'm not able to calibrate them to the end of the bar line (100%). I tried two different TRS cables and Expression pedals. I was able to calibrate them fully on inputs 3 and 6 so I know it's not the pedals or cable. Any ideas?

I've spent hours tone tweaking and menue diving on various products but this new Kemper is really a mountain of a project. If you could share with me your essential tips to getting me on the right track without having to spend hours missing out on practice/play...

So far I see three scenarios. Playing with headphones on, Playing through my studio monitors/interface, and playing through a Cab. I will list what gear i'm using to better facilitate your advice.

    Powered 'Toaster' head

    Kemper Foot controller

    Headphones - Audio Technica ATH-M40x http://www.audio-technica.com/…dphones/75b2f282c93a7651/

    Studio Monitors - Samson Resolv RXA5 http://www.samsontech.com/sams…nitors/resolv/resolvrxa5/

    Interface - Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 https://us.focusrite.com/usb-audio-interfaces/scarlett-18i8

Cab - Michael Britt Xitone Active Cab https://xitonecabs.com/product/mbritt/

My general problems are the same that many new Kemper users are having. It sounds better than the GMS in my DAW so far but it's not flooring me and I believe it can. I'm not sure if my headphones aren't good enough to produce the same sound I'd hear through my monitors and I don't know if my monitors will produce the same sound as the cab. I haven't received the cab yet but I assume that will be the easiest of the three options to plug in and get a natural amp sound/response.

I've read some advice like having your profiles set up for the different monitoring situations since they probably won't sound the same when changing but I don't know for myself yet. The point of this post is to hopefully gather as much info as possible from successful happy users so I can hopefully make the right tweaks to get to that natural amp sound/response sooner.

Any advice/reference links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

    1) Is there a way to change the tuners display from the strobe style?

    2) Is there configuration I need to do on the looper because when I play over my loop the profile i'm using sounds like its distorting.

    3) Is there any miscellaneous tips that you'd like to share with me?

    Thanks!

Has anyone else upgraded their power cable? Mine is brand new and pretty loose to the point that if I move it while plugged in it will disconnect. If so, please refer me to a link on a good locking one or some other solution.

Thank you for the replies gentlemen!

@nottoohigh I have the 18i8 Scarlett. It does have S/Pdif cable inputs. I wouldn't know what S/Pdif is good for without googling though. Is there an easy explanation or video you can refer me to explain it?

Can you please explain what type of cables I will need for the following situations and where they would be plugged into?

    1) Recording/practice at home I'm using the powered 'Toaster' head going into my Scarlett interface coming out of studio/headphone monitors. What cable do I use and what inputs would I plug it into on the kemper and the interface?

    2) I'm using the powered head into a Xitone MBritt 'Active' cab by itself.

    3) I'm using the Active cab and I want to run a line to the front of house at a venue.

This is my first time working with an amp like this so my apologies for the amatuer questions.
