Your 2017 WL 594 Satin RW looks eerily similar to my early 2020 WL 594 Satin RW singlecut!
this should be reported for how sexy it is wow! I can’t play guitars that flashy, I’d be to sad for dinging it

I would love to check out a Silver Sky one of these days. A Strat is another guitar I've always struggled to get along with. I'm thinking the PRS take on it might work for me.
Also meant to say how insane the tops are on some of those.... Absolutely stunning.
I play Suhr guitars for all my fender fixes
I just don't like PRS's...I think Im a bit odd
never did much myself but the cores solve all the Les Paul issues with string/nut break angle and i I find them just a modern take on a classic design. I’m sold now but not a super fan exactly.
Display MoreI have an insane addiction...
From bottom left to top right...
2009 SE ONE, 2009 305, 2008 Mira, 2001 McCarty with rosewood neck, 2012 P22 with rosewood neck, 2018 Silver Sky first 500 with hard case and plaque, 2018 594 Soapbar, 2017 Wood Library 594 Satin with rosewood neck, 2000 Singlecut, 2021 594 Hollowbody.
I'm a sick puppy...
can you get me a job where you work so I can afford these many beautiful guitars too 🥲 my favorites are the silver slay on the left and core 2nd on top right
Display MoreI went even lower end and did more work on it.
Start: PRS SE Custom 24 ($750.00)
Bare Knuckels Pickups ($300.00)
Bone nut ($15.00)
Gold plated foil for noise reduction ($50.00)
Expert setup at a respected custom shop ($100.00)
So $1215.00 total. It plays and sounds crazy good. I love the wide fat fretboard on PRS and it plays like butter. It is definately my favorite.
I think the S2's do get a bit closer to the "high end" feel with their finish and body shape than do the SE's..... but there is quite a bit of space in price between a $750.00 base guitar and a $1800.00 one.
I think that PRS does such a good job of making quality guitars all the way through their price range. I can't ever see myself shelling out the $4K for the beauty of a top end model (nor would I feel comfortable gigging in a bar with one), but perhaps my next axe will be an S2. That is a little more up my alley with respect to price (I do still have 1 more kid to get through college ).
dude that’s awesome. Prs is a wonderful company. Good job
I owned a CE-24 for a couple years and as hard as I tried, I never felt comfortable with the neck on it for whatever reason. I will say that as far as build quality and overall finish, it was one of the nicer guitars I've ever played. Also had the best sounding coil split from a set of humbuckers that I've heard so far. Fantastic guitar... Just something about that neck.
totally understand man, this S2 I got was exceptional compared to the other ones on the shelve. Same with the core I now use. We all know by now I hope that every instrument even if it has the exact same specs, will have winners and losers that the individual will find to their preference.
And... How is that working out for you?
not to spite the kemper in any way but… it’s glorious bro. I’ve been able to dial in my tones far easier and it all feels better. Happy camper.
I got a few haters here when I mentioned I was moving to fractal. Wish you the best
Awesome recording and video Guy, congratulations. Very well done from all of you folks!
thank you for watching!
Brilliant GuyJames Excellent playing and tone. Band sound fab and nice to see a keyboard solo too. Also love the rock organ part afer the keyboard solo, mixed with the guitar this is right up my street
I really love a good synth lead solo next to a guitar solo.
Tight af, sounds like a jazzier lower gain Racer-X. Incredible playing all round.
love it 🤘🏼 Paul Gilbert blows my mind. I’ve worked a few of his licks before
I would believe that was Steve Morse if I didn't know it was Guy James.
Damn you rascals are Great! That tune and recording is amazing. 3D sounding if their is such a thing.
Well Played Gentlemen!
oh thank you! Steve is definitely an influence.
Subscribe if you like what you hear please. ✌🏼
air that for $150 and it works
does that mean you’re interested?
Gig ready set up. Comes with Pedal, Case and Power Cable. FREE Shipping up to $150 (I'm in Hawaii)
You won't get the same "tube authenticity" out of the FAS unit.
That said, whatever makes you happy bro'.
Good luck with the endeavour Guy. You can always return as many have before and will again.
we shall see! 🤙🏼
i own the Axe 3 and i been a fractal user since 2012,on 2020 i bought the Kemper Stage,Axe 3 is a cool unit ,but i prefer the Kemper sound,
I look forward to getting to know the fractal.
I didn't make the switch OP was asking about but since my bandmate uses Axe FX I borrowed it once to see if I could get a decent tone out of it. The answer was: yes, I got great tone out of it and the feel was great, too. Was it easy? No. Amount of parameters in Fractal products is insane so good luck tweaking it for days. I don't think you'll notice much of a difference in sound between Kemper and Axe (at this level both units are state of the art). I'm sure if you were switching from $50 Zoom multi effect to Axe FX the difference would indeed be inspiring.
You will for sure experience totally different workflow which you may like or not - worth trying out. Good luck with in your search for inspiration!
i expect it will be just as great in its own way but I really think the fractal will be more organized and adjustable. With kemper we’re stuck with 4 blocks before and after the amp… that’s pretty primitive in an all in one unit. I’ve actually thought about getting rid of the stage for a kemper toaster head to have it act as just an amp and use either an external effects pedals like the gold ole boys or just fractal for effects like many of the greatest touring players are (Steve Vai, Neal schon, Aaron intervals etc…)
we did a blind-test shootout, about 3 yrs ago, on ToneWars. All but the owner of the FM III, initially picked it. He now has a Kemper
can you please share that video link?
