There is a folder in RM called My Kemper or something similar which syncs with your KPA. You drag and drop (or copy and paste) any rigs from rig manager into this folder and they load to the KPA. If you create a new rig in the KPA and want to save it in RM to protect it being erased completely then also copy from the My Profiler folder to another folder in RM.

Yes of course like I was saying I used to use it as a head with a 2x12 cab when I first bought it years ago.
it wasn’t that daft a question. You’d be amazed how many people either a) say my power hear/rack isn’t driving my cabinet only yo find out it isn’t a power head or b) have a power head/rack and plug into monitor out instead of speaker out then wonder why they can’t drive a 4x12 ?
That would make them almost as stupid as me given how many times I’ve plugger my guitar into the headphone out and wondered why I wasn’t getting any sound ?

Any decent quality XLR mic cable will do just fine. Stay clear of super cheap rubbish but you don’t need to spend mega bucks on special triple oxygen free , unicorn hair wire with unobtainium plugs ?
-
I dialed it to where I thought it should be volume wise.
Then I stepped off the stage and into the crowd area. Holy crap! Way better out there, and much louder!
that’s exactly the same issue as using a 4x12 onstage too. The sound doesn’t fully develop until about 20 -30’ in front of the cab which is way beyond where most of us stand when playing. Add that to the fact that most of the sound is traveling past us at below waist height and it’s little wonder sound guys are always complaining the guitar is too loud on stage ?

Yes, I know. I was just replying to your comment “for some reason” .

You can rename the extension to .KIPR and it should work.
All rigs created with OS7 are .KRIG for some reason, but it's an easy fix for older firmwares.I believe OS7 is .KRIG now as the new system manages Rigs and Presets independently so the presets will presumably have a different suffix.

Try Bert Meulendijk’s acoustic pack. Its profiles of various acoustic preamps and Dis as well as classic mic preamps. I use it with a Parker Fly piezo and PRS P2w piezo. Nobody is going to mistake it for a Martin with a pair of nice condensers but it sounds good enough to use.

And mine has been doing it with full release as well. In fact it hasn’t actually frozen since the OS7 Beta.
I emailed support and the answer was, “there is currently no solution for this problem”
-
Great. glad to hear you got it solved.

Believe it or not this crazy behaviour is actually standard for all Kemper products. It doesn't just affect Presets but Rigs etc too. I have no idea why the normally extremely logical guys at Kemper seemed to think this was a good idea but I think it was one of their rare off days. Maybe they designed the saving routine after an afternoon at the pub

Yes, i would love to be able to adjust the taper on my Mission pedal. Seems to do very little at the start of it's movement and then all loaded to the last half of its travel.
Try changing pedal type from Type 1 to Type 2. My Mission used to be unuseable when set to Type 1 (even though the manual seems to suggest this would be the right type for the Mission) but when changed to Type 2 the taper works as expected. There is still the problem that the travel on the Mission pedal is to short to be any use for much other than Wah but as a Wah it works brilliantly.

In my case I've been getting the problem with various Mac OS on my iMac. Currently I'm on Mojave 10.14.5. I used to get it over a year ago when I got my Powered Toaster then it stopped for a while but it started doing it again around the time of the new Reverbs updates.

Its an interesting unit and the loop order matrix is a big selling point over the original PBC that I have. I don’t use any external pedals anymore so have no personal use for it and my own PBC sits in a case with the rest of my now redundant pedalboard (keeping just in case I ever want to drag out an old Mesa again). However, If I wanted a midi con with loops for building a compact Kemper companion pedal board this would be very high on the list. The RJM stuff is top quality, well designed andRon’s customer service is legendary.

During longer distance travels, my six years old son used to ask right after starting the ride "Are we there, yet?" and kept on doing so until arrival. Sometimes this was really annoying for his parents.

Firstly, I am not a software dude so I really have no knowledge of what is or isn’t involved; I am merely thinking aloud as an uneducated guitarist tar player.
Surely the biggest issue is that the current hardware version runs on a specific audio chip? In order to make it a VST would presumably require a massive amount of time and effort to try and rewrite it in a code format that would be compatible with Mac and Windows formats. As the team already seem to have their hands pretty full on other projects it would seem they would be overstretched in trying to do so.

That was my original thought too but m e freezes on Mac even at times when the screensaver and /or hibernation hasn’t kicked in.

That’s what I’m saying. The Kemper interface is so easy to use I don’t feel the need for an editor. But even when I use other things that don’t have as intuitive an interface as the Kemper and do have an editor I generally find software editors more hassle than help. It’s just amazing that the Kemper is so easy to use by simply twiddling knobs - a breath of fresh air in a world of mouse clicks and touch screens ?

Avoid primitive by using Flame Maple or Walnut instead of plywood

Nearly every piece of gear I have with a software editor I don’t use it and non of them have as good a physical interface as the kemper
