Brent Mason and Johnny Hiland (not forgetting Albert Lee, of course), these guys have such a masterful picking technique you could put them on the most sterile-sounding profile and they'd make it sound good ....

The Fulltone Clyde Deluxe pedal has a good "Shaft" preset (along with a "Wacker" and "Jimi") and I uploaded white noise profiles quite a while back.
Try looking in the thread about Wah settings or the like on here .....

Always a favourite of mine, too.

It should be.
This question was asked on Amazon:
Question:
Is this an s/pdif standard 75 ohm cable?Answer:
Doesn't say anything specific about 75Ω. But I believe this would be S/PDIF compatible. It's a digital audio cable. Not garden variety RCA. I have the 8ft variant.By Abhi Kris on January 28, 2016Yes it is... you can find the specifications at the mediabridge company site. https://www.mediabridgeproduct…k-15-feet/#specifications

By *throw* I mean fader travel ..... you get a longer *window* without the Output/Monitor Alt 1 Monitor controls under the Cue Outputs ...
Terminology can be slightly confusing
-
Great, thanks .....
I found out the extra long throw you have on the Master fader is because you don't have an Alternate monitors enabled, like I have.
I disabled the count from 1 to 0 and got the extra length of throw ...
Mind you, I wish there was an option to get the Master as big as you can have the Aux .....
Back to your original question, were you monitoring in both Cubase and Apollo like musicmad thought ?
-
I don't have the HP or Line 3 and 4 active and I guess having the line 3 and 4 on faders frees up space to get the master fader longer.
I'll look into it ....
I'm on Cubase too and just getting that organised ....
Thanks
-
Can I ask you how you got your main output faders to be like that ? Mine have a shorter throw than in your picture.
I also have Monitor and Alt 1 buttons that you don't have ... have you disabled them somehow to get the extra throw ... If so how ?
I'm a newbie with the Apollo console and still working things out

Just to mention the difference in terminology:
-18dbFS (modern digital) is approx equal to 0dbVU (old school analogue)

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazo…3012&s=electronics&sr=1-1 that is the one i purchased...im still new to S/PDIF so im tredding un-familiar ground when it comes to "correct" cables.
I had a look at this and pretty sure it's just a normal cable used for Hifi connections. Amazon do a Digital Co-ax cable here:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazo…tronics%2C171&sr=1-3&th=1
I could also suggest these that I bought on Ebay :

No guarantee that these will cure your problem but at least you'll know you have exactly the right kind of cable ....
If this doesn't fix things, you could also give the guys at Focusrite a call.
I had a weird problem with a soundcard of theirs and after emailng them for support, had a very helpful telephone conversation from them
-
Im using S/PDIF Thats why i got the Clarett 4pre
This is also a longshot but are you using a proper 75 ohm spdif cable ?
A good quality RCA cable can work but it's no substitute for a proper one ...

an excellent video (see below) on how he used a Universal Audio Apollo box to sum 3 different Mic's with UA eq and then rerouted that into the Kemper for profiling. Fascinating. He said thats how Michael Britt and others pros are doing it.
No wonder these profiles sound good when you use UAD with Neve mic pre's etc

A very heart-warming video. Thanks for sharing, Monkey .
Wonder if they'll also feature Marcus Miller as another of their original bassists
I use Keyscape and have to say it has the definitive collection of Rhodes, ably demonstrated here by Keifer.
Sounds like a Chick Corea tune but can't place it .....

That sounds like you didn't (or couldn't ?) insure it for what it was worth ...... Nevertheless, that is bad news and if you don't get a satisfactory solution with them, take it to your Ombudsman service.
